Honkai Impact 3rd MC self-insert thoughts

Yo what's going on guys it's Mario and Sonic gamer and today we're going to be talking about Honkai Impact 3rd.

For those who don't know Hoyoverse recently dropped a trailer going into detail about the next part of Honkai Impact 3rd where it takes place roughly 6 years after the events of Part 1 and 2 years before the epilogue APHO.

Now I'm excited for this new part but as excited as I am, I'm also worried at the same time. People are complaining that they are going beyond the original style that made us fall in love with Honkai Impact 3rd in the first place like the fact that it's open world even though we had open world as far back as Chapters 26-28 during the Thus Spoke Apocalypse arc and again in Chapters 29-31 in the Thirteen Flame-Chasers arc and in Chapters 32 and 33 during the first half or the Final arc on the Moon. Like we been having open world like settings so us getting it in Part 2 is nothing new but if you're afraid that it's going to be like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail well then in that case I understand because the open world in those games are absolute torture to go through and I can understand your concern in fact I hope that they don't go the same route Genshin Impact and Star Rail did because that would be a pain but even if it was I can live with that after all the fighting game mechanics are still amazing. However my biggest worries for Part 2 is the new main character being a self-insert. Originally when I first watching the trailer I had no idea on who the main character let alone said main character was actually going to be another of one of Hoyo's self-inserts where you can choose between a male and female, place whatever name you want them to be named even though their real name would've been confirmed and are mostly silent and only talking whenever the situation calls for it but then I did some research and found out that one of the characters named Dream Seeker is not only the main character but apparently is also a self-insert.
