Part 10(A)

"Khushi!? Where the hell were you these days? why couldn't you inform anyone before leaving? Do you even know Arnav was taken to police station because you were not reachable?" Lavanya was normally a calm and fun-loving girl but Khushi's doings were not accepted at any level and Lavanya couldn't stop herself from raising her voice.

"Police Station? I was just trying to help.." agreed no one was informed about her departure but wasn't Arnav not ready to even look at her? It's not like she left them forever, she wanted to hep Arnav out of this mess.

"HELP? oh god Khushi, are you out of your mind? I can't be as you in this, just speak to Arnav." picking up her phone to call Arnav to update the news Lavanya left the room.

"HOW co...." it was seven in the evening by the time he completed the work at office, even though Shyam has warned him and he understood it's not long before he would have to kiss goodbye to his job, he was still working for JHA consultancy, he wanted to until he was given the final letter asking him to not come anymore, he needs to be close at least to know if his father knows his employer on personal terms. Lavanya called him a few minutes back to come to her place with the update that Khushi had returned. The ride till Lavanya's house was clouded with only anger. What does the girl think about herself, coming and going out of their lives as when she feels/wishes? He bounced on her the moment he saw her face.

"I have someone with me, whom you would like to meet" Khushi felt the breath knocking out of her lungs the moment her eyes came in contact with his presence. Missing was the feeling she felt all along these days, she could name it now, the reason for her sleepless nights, an underlying tension she felt in her body, the restlessness even after having NK beside her. The reason behind everything was the man standing in front of her, with eyes emitting fire at her, clenched fists. She was away from him, one look at him, she is back to feeling alive. Sitting in silence to probe in to her thoughts about these new feelings is required but not at the moment, so she cut him off mid-sentence.

"What the, do you even know what I..." in his anger he couldn't understand her urgency, a part of him was feeling relieved, elated to have her so close to him again, this feeling has increased the anger in him, how dare she invoke such feelings in him when she was not effected by him? how dare she take a control over his mind when he was no one in her life?

"It's important, it's about your mother" for the second time again Khushi cut him off. In any case, her effort paid off, she has the full attention of Arnav on her now, the anger in and body language changed, confusion filled his features.

"Come with me" holding his hand she dragged him out, signalling him to start his bike, mounting behind him, she gave instructions to Happyji's residence.

Other than the directions from Khushi's side, the ride was completed in silence.

Khushi was in her thoughts about her recent adventure for the first time while Arnav was more confused. first the lady disappears without a word and she comes back saying she wants to speak to him about his mother.
