The first thing you felt was the slight pressure on your wrist before you slowly moved your head to the side, your eyebrows scrunching as you blinked your eyes open.
Your vision is blurry, unfocused, but after a while it cleared and you saw an unfamiliar face of a woman sitting beside you. She's holding your hand, three fingers on your inner wrist, examining your pulse, her eyes closed to focus more on what she's doing.
You averted your gaze from her and looked past her where you saw your handmaiden who almost jumped at the sight of you finally awake.
"My lady!" she called, which almost startled the woman examining your pulse as she shushed Hana who muttered a small apology. "My lady, I shall be back right away."
"Hana—" you muttered, trailing off when she quickly left.
You don't know how long you had been out, but judging by the fact that you are in your bedchamber instead of the makeshift tent in the forest, you guess you were out for quite some time.
You wanted to ask Hana if the Hunting Game is over. You remembered passing out near the stream around midnoon, the Hunting Game will not be over until afternoon before the sun sets. At this time of the year, the sun sets much later than when it did during winter.
But since Hana already left, she did say she'll be back right away, you can just ask her later when she returns. You doubt you can speak to the woman checking your pulse because she seems to be in deep concentration.
So you just lay there, eyes on the ceiling, until you felt her fingers move on your wrist before she slowly lowered your hand to your side and you looked at her.
"My lady, how are you feeling?" she asked the moment she opened her eyes.
"I'm feeling..." you muttered, trailing off for a moment as you slowly sat up. "...quite alright."
"How about recently? For the past few days, have you felt anything unusual?"
"Unusual?" you asked, your confusion evident in your expression. Her question is quite vague.
"Like feeling fatigued?"
"I don't think it's unusual, since I do feel it from time to time even before. But recently I feel quite fatigued."
