When I first laid eyes on you
When I heard your heartbeat too
Oh, I never knew, I could witness an angel so beautiful

Seven and Yosohn were seated side by side in the bustling waiting room of her doctor's office. She had a personal relationship with her doctor, which enabled her to bypass the lengthy waiting list in order to be seen this week. Since returning from their trip to the Maldives, her condition had not shown any signs of improvement and this had started to worry her. She continued to experience intermittent bouts of nausea and was plagued by extreme fatigue. She had never felt worse in her life, and despite her attempts to seek information on Google, it had only fueled her health anxiety and worried her even more than before. Her mind swarmed with various possible scenarios, and she was relieved to finally be able to get some real answers.

"Seven Ahmed," a nurse's assistant emerged from the back area with a clipboard in hand.

Rising from their seats, Seven and Yosohn ambled towards the young lady, exchanging greetings with her as they followed her to an exam room. Yosohn stationed himself in the guest chair while Seven sat on the exam table. The nurse's assistant known as Holly, sat on a stool in front of a computer, pulling Seven's medical information up before asking her a series of questions.

"And when was your last menstrual cycle?"

"Um, I think it was August 8th," Seven shrugged.

Holly nodded slowly, "is there any chance that you could be pregnant?"

"I don't think so," Seven replied with slight uncertainty, "I've always had irregular periods, especially when my iron gets too low," she informed.

"Okay," Holly nodded once more, typing on her computer, "I'm going to take a urine sample from you and test for pregnancy, just in case. Dr. Nash will come in and speak with you shortly, and a phlebotomist will draw blood for testing afterwards."

"Thank you."

Holly smiled, "no problem," she handed Seven a small plastic cup before exiting the room.

Leaping off of the exam table, Seven sauntered down the hall where the restroom was located. Closing and locking the door behind her, she pulled her yoga pants down, hovering over the toilet as she filled the sample cup. Once she was finished, she wiped and thoroughly washed her hands, placing the cup in a small metal compartment before retreating from the bathroom.
