" you're alive."

Looking up my breath hitched. It couldn't be...my eyes glossed over with tears forming. "J-jeongin? Is it really you?" His sweet puppy smile warmed my heart. Tears fell down my face as I pulled him into a tight hug.

"Why are you here?! What did they do to you?" Gently touching his face I saw a scar diagonally on his cheek bone so close to his eye. His smile faltered. "They didn't like how I treated you and how I stood up for you...our mother would be beside herself if she saw how they became...so...cruel."

I looked at him once more as images of how he dazzled in the sun light everyday. He was a true friend when Hannah wasn't by my side. Jeongin was so sweet and precious. He treated me like an actual person and not some thing like a trophy. Hyunjin was furious when he saw him holding me when I cried the night I was hit by one of the king's friends.

Hyunjin thought I was sleeping with his brother but wouldn't listen when he tried to explain. If I had a choice I would of chosen Jeongin over that monster any day. My sweet friend...how could you let them treat you like this...

His soft hands were now tough and calloused once they touched my face I had so many questions. His dark onyx eyes were never scary like some said, his eyes were filled care and joy. Wiping away my tears he gave me a soft smile.

"Are you feeling OK? I was hunting when I saw you drenched and halfway on the river Bank, what in the world are you out here and not back at the palace?" My breath hitched. "I escaped..."

"You...what? Why? What did they do to you?!" He frantically searched my body till I winced. "My little Dove...I'm sorry I couldn't protect you or take you with me." Cutting a hole where I winced his eyes grew big.

"What, what is it." He covered it up. "Don't look...I need to fix this." Rushing back out of the tent he started a fire. Trying to move I winced some more. "Ahh!"

"Stay in bed and try not to move so much." Doing as I was told I layed back down. The sound of the river wasn't far and the sound of him working lulled me back to sleep.

- Jeongin's POV -

once the fire was going and ready for the tea mixture I poked my head back in. (Y/n) was asleep curled up with my fur cloak that covered her. The sound of movement caught my attention. Quickly I grabbed my sword. "Who's there!?" I called out.

It was early in the morning and the sun was barely up. "Please help us we are missing someone from our party have you seen her?" One by one a group of what looked like elves, a witch and her familiar and a warlock appeared along with two that were heavenly looking men.
