Chapter 41
I stormed out of the office while the envelope was still in my hand. I am not furious, but the anticipation and nervousness was winning in me. I needed to find out what's inside. I know I needed to.
I was not even intimidated by her presence, for the first time.
"Miande!" I had to call her out, dahil kung hindi ko siya pipigilan sa pagsakay ay hindi ko siya maaabutan.
My voice quickly made her steps freeze, with poise and much confidence she faced me. Her angelic face was the contrast of her intimidating presence. Our eyes matched. I walked towards her and I was already in chaos inside.
"Inah?"
"Can we talk? Somewhere private." I said in urgency.
"Good, let's go to my office."
I invited her inside, I was not even in the right mind to act in formality.
"You have questions." she concluded, the certainty in her voice was there.
I looked at her seriously. "Sasagutin mo ba?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "Kung kaya ko Inah, why not?" the calmness in her voice makes me more conscious.
I breathe heavily before I showed her the envelope again, mabilis na tumungo doon ang mata niya.
"What's this? What's inside?" my voice was so restrained.
"Why don't you open it, and see for yourself?" hamon niya.
"Am I even allowed to read someone's medical report?" I shot back. Confused.
My forehead creased, "Do I have to beg you? So that I would know what's going on with my boyfriend's life?"
My answer alarmed her, I feel like I am cornering her and well I think that's the truth. But I needed to know what's going on.
She tried to step closer. "Look, I don't want to interfere with you and Wyatt. Especially with your relationship, kapag nagsalita ako ngayon ng walang pahintulot ni Wyatt magagalit siya sa akin, at mag aaway rin kayo—"
"I'll make sure that won't happen! But please... just tell me something I need to know." pagmamakaawa ko, hirap na hirap ang bawat pagbigkas ko.
My struggle mirrored her, she licked her lips and closed her eyes firmly. "Fine," pag payag niya.
She shifted her direction towards me and pointed to the envelope I am holding. "That medical report was Wyatt's. That was released months ago pero hindi niya kinuha, Tita ko ang attending psychiatrist niya, at pinaka usapan niya lang akong dalhin dito." pagpapaliwanag nito.
