Chapter 43
His face looked so lost but thrilled at the same time. I gave him a light and emotional smile.
He licked his lips, wonders were on his eyes. "Are you serious, Eanah?" hindi makapaniwala niyang tanong.
"We'll talk about it through dinner. Let's eat outside." He concluded. I bit the insides of my cheeks before I slowly nod.
He reserved us dinner in a fancy restaurant, he didn't utter a word until we arrive.
I look at him. I can sense the weight in his actions, he can't even look at me straight.
I sliced the steak on my plate, I let him be quiet as much as he wanted. Baka gusto niyang kumain muna kami, bago kami mag usap kaya iyon ang ginagawa ko.
I sipped through my wine as my eyes never left him. At this moment, I know I was more confident than him. I am willing to give anything he asks. And he knows it, which scares him.
"Do you want more wine?" he moved closer to ask me.
I nodded consecutively. "Yes, mahal ko." I answered in an assured tone.
It left him stunned. It was obvious on his face. His ears down to his neck suddenly turned red. He slowly looked away and clenched his jaw. Biting his lips, he looked down like some happy defeated man.
"I-I'll ask for more wine." he said stuttering.
I stared at him, for a few minutes then another glass of wine came. "Thank you." saad ko sa server.
"How about you?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"I'm fine," he said in a low tone.
I sipped through my glass before putting it again on the table. I clicked my tongue, leaned on the backrest and crossed my arms and legs.
"Kailan tayo mag uusap?
He straightened his back and cleared his throat. Uh finally. He leaned closer to the table between us and looked at me.
