Chapter 18 Rescuing a Princess

Bruce's POV

As I got deeper inside Hades, I tried to find her with the bat-scanner. I failed because it was inactive deep underground. I should care to update it when I return to the Batcave. After, I tried to seek her by detecting her Justice League transmitter signal. I succed and found her bound in a rock. She remembered Promytheus, the Titan who stole the Fire from the Gods and gave them to the people. Zeus punished him by binding him with chains on Mountain Kaukasus. Centuries later, Hercules freed him when he was in his last feat (bring the Esperides' apples). But I distracted a lot. If she was freed from her chains, she would fly and we would leave then. I caught myself smiling. At last I found her. I have to admit that I felt happy. But I should not think of it now. I got of the Invisible Jet and ran to her. She had closed her eyes but I was sure she wasn't asleep.
-Diana! I shouted to check if she could hear me.
-Bruce............ she told weakly. Her voice was weaker than ever. I started worrying about what had she got in this Underworld.
-Hold on. I will take this chains off.
I tried to break them but it's impossible.
-Can't...... get ........ these off..........
I tried to break them with some gadgets of my Utility Belt but I didn't accomplish absolutely anything.......
-Those didn't work.
Nothing is working!!! I told with nerves in my voice and narrowed my eyes.
-Wait, I've got another idea.
-They are too strong, Bruce. They are as strong as my bracelets.....
I couldn't stand hearing her with this impaired voice..........
-I'm attaching a holographic device to your belt. Now just stay quite.
As I waited Disna was invisible now.
-Bruce, something is wrong. I don't feel very good...............
I didn't replied. I waited above her for the demons to arrive.......
-She's gone! They shouted with their sharp voices.
-Oh yes, she is. And if you don't want Hera's wrath, you had better place me in those chains.
Then, a demon grabbed me and broke thd chains. The weird thing was that Diana started to fall and didn't fly.
-Diana! I shouted and leaped after her.
But then, my holographic device fell from her belt and the demons saw her and dove after her as well. But I arrived first. She had fell and I didn't know if she had hurt.
-Diana, why you didn't fly? I asked but did not receive a response. She was unconscious........
Then I realised that the demons weren't very far away from us.
-We've got company, I wispered. I was planning on you flying to the jet. I think it's time for Plan B.
Then I shouted "Lima Zebra November"
so the Invisible Jet's engined and it flied to me and Diana.
I passed my hand in her shoulders and the other hand in her legs. Although she was unconscious her body was still warm. I transported her to the Jet and placed her gently in one seat.
Lay still, my princess, I wispered as loudly as only I and her could hear.
Then I sat in the driver's seat, fastened my seatbelt and took off.
With the new afterburners installed, we left the demons far behind.......
The exit is guarded by several demons.......
But they didn't get us in trouble............
I fired a succession of missiles...... but it didn't cause them any effect.
-That leaves me with one option. I had never thought I would be using a weapon like this.
I pressed a button and streams of water fired from the jet. So, the rest of the demons fleed the exit. Now we were free to leave. So I did that. My destination was the Watchtower where Diana would be helped in the Infirmary and see what caused her cannot fly.......... The good thing that I rescued her and she was back to us. Back to her family. Back to home. Back to me.....
