What will Auntie Mitsuki think? Wait, can I still call her Auntie? Maybe I shouldn't, it's been a long time. Uncle Masarau will probably be ok, he's generally pretty calm but will-
"Dumbass. You're mumbling." A rough hand interlacing fingers with his own snapped the emerald-eyed youth out of his rapidly spiraling thoughts. "We don't have to tell anyone shit if you don't want to. Auntie Inko might still be mad at me for how I treated you in middle school so if any of our shitty parents object I'd be her. Even so, I'll show her it's different now and she won't be able to help falling for my killer charms." Both teens chuckled at the thought. The idea of the gruff rogue Dynamight trying to sweet talk mama bear Midoriya was quite the interesting concept.
"You're right, about my Old Man. He won't care as long as we're both happy. As for the Old Hag: she doesn't have a say so who gives a fuck. She's always liked you better than me anyway so if it came down to it, she'd choose you anyway just like when we were brats. Too bad for her, I don't share so she can't have you." A sly smirk curled up the corners of the blonde's tempting mouth as he continued. "You're mine and nothing anyone thinks will change that. We can tell them if you want, or not. I don't give a shit either way." Still blushing and now completely facing away, Bakugo missed the quivering lip and tearing eyes on the curly haired male's face as Izuku absorbed the curt but caring words.
"You know how I feel about lying. I want to be honest with our families, but maybe just not yet. Or at least not today?" After a moment of quiet the ruby-eyed teen nodded in agreement. He still refused to look at the other out of embarrassment but had at least turned back around to face his direction while studying their shoes, making the whole conversation less awkward. "Thanks Kacchan. Maybe we can have dinner with your parents and mom some night before we go back and tell them all together then?"
Shrugging, the spiky haired youth finally looked up into the emerald pools of his love. "Sure Nerd. Now let's go, or did you want to keep standing around in the middle of the road?"
"Ahh! Yeah, let's go!"
I forget how oblivious the idiot can be sometimes. But I guess that's part of why he's so fucking cute. Squeezing the larger hand entwined with his own before releasing it, the taller boy returned said appendage to his pocket before starting to walk towards his family home. Once the pair reached the front door of the Bakugo residence the blonde turned to his companion. "Ready Deku?" A slightly hesitant nod sent soft green curls bobbing eliciting an involuntary chuckle from the ruby-eyed boy.
Without knocking Katsuki turned the knob and opened the heavy wood door. "I'M HOME!" His husky voice reverberated through the entry as the pair stepped inside. Class 2A's Blasty quickly kicked off his shoes and stepped up from the genkan taking no note of his stone still companion.
"Brat? You're early. Figured it would be at least another hour for you to saunter your ass home. Did you take a taxi instead of the train?" Walking around the corner Mitsuki whipped her hand on a kitchen towel as she greeted her son.
"Aperture portaled everyone home." Throwing his bag over his shoulder, the home's only child started to make his way to his bedroom as his mother froze in place staring at the small freckled male still wearing his shoes barely standing inside the genkan.
Approaching slowly, as if to not frighten a small animal, the older female version of Katsuki covered her mouth in near shock. "Izuku? Is that you?"
"Hello Mrs. Bakugo. It's nice to see you again." Bowing slightly while squeezing the straps of his yellow backpack in a death grip the greenette suddenly felt a rush of shyness. He'd known this woman since he was in diapers but had not seen her in years. Not since the beginning of middle school when things between him and his then best friend really started to change for the worse. A slightly familiar sensation caught the freckled youth off guard as he felt a soft smack to the back of his downward facing head.
Rubbing the soft curls that had just been assaulted he looked up to see the mischievous eyes of his boyfriend's mother as she stood only a foot away with crossed arms. The two were so similar it was almost creepy. "I used to bathe you Brat, none of that formal speech from you. When did I get a demotion from Auntie to Mrs. anyway?" The look on the fierce woman's face could easily be mistaken as true anger by anyone not fully familiar with the nuances of Clan Bakugo.
"Sorry Auntie Mistuki. I wasn't sure if you would still be comfortable with me since it's been so long. I know you still see mom a lot, but I didn't want to be presumptuous." A nearly bone crushing hug knocked the emerald-eyed and now blushing teen off balance nearly toppling him to the floor. Luckily being still in the genkan there was a wall nearby to stop them.
"I've missed seeing you, Izuku. I thought for sure after my idiot son decided his ass was too good to be friends with you any more I had lost my honorary Brat." Pulling away and holding the youth by the shoulders, the older blonde smiled wide making a mental note of how tall he'd grown in the last few years. He was now as tall as she was! "This has always and will always be a home for you whenever you want. You hear me?" A tear made its way down Midoriya's cheek as his face lit up. This woman HAD always been like a second mother to him, and Uncle Masarau a second dad. Sometimes his only dad with how often his own father was away. He hadn't realized how much he missed this whole family until right now.
Halfway up the staircase, the other blonde of the house watched. He never really considered how his choices back then affected his parents. The two families were always so close. It was entirely his own actions that caused a rift to form between them. I really fucked up back then. "Oi! Nerd! You comin' up or what?" Not sure how to feel about the sudden guilt rising up in him, future Pro Dynamight turned away from the heartfelt scene and resumed the ascent to his bedroom. He had told his parents about the 'Wonder Duo' and about him making up with Deku last school break after the whole kidnapping bullshit so they knew the boys were back to being friends again. They had long since known their only son was bi which made for some interesting teasing on his mother's part last year so he wasn't worried about them finding out he had a boyfriend. But how will they feel when they find out that his boyfriend is none other than the Nerd? They are more than just friends and future Hero partners, but would his parents accept that? Would Auntie Inko?
"Yes! Coming Kacchan!" Kicking off his shoes after being released by his host, Deku almost ran to the stairs to catch up to his childhood friend. The pair shared small taunts and jabs as they climbed to the blonde's room oblivious to the watchful eyes of one protective mama with keen senses.
Two hours later found the pair back downstairs with the greenette sitting on the couch having been kicked out of the kitchen and prevented from helping with dinner. The boys had explained to Mitsuki that Inko would not be home till late so it was decided Izuku would stay till then. The two blonds of the home were preparing the meal together as the freckled youth watched local Hero news and made conversation with the home's only brunette. Masaru was now home from work and rather happy to see his son's one-time other half. The two debated the usefulness of a levitation quirk like Uraraka's versus that of a more objectively attack based one like Sato's for Pro Hero work. As they squabbled goodnaturedly Katsuki was sent to see what kind of tea everyone wanted to drink.
Leaning over the back of the couch just to the side of his partner he interrupted the light hearted conversation with his usual grumpy tone. "The Hag wants to know if you want Genmaicha or Gyokuro."
"Why don't I take over for you Katsuki? You stay and talk with Izuku." Smiling and standing from his seat the marginally taller man walked away before popping his head back to look at the boys. "But first, which tea?"
"O! Whatever Auntie wants to make is fine with me! Just water or Gokuzyo Aracha would be fine too!" Waving his hands as he turned in his seat to face his host, the greenette received only a closed eyed smile in return as his honorary uncle disappeared into the kitchen.
"Dumbass. You know the Old Hag, even if she considers you family you're still a guest. No cheap shit for her precious Broccoli while I get what's laying around. Or water. She's always liked you better than me anyhow." Smirking at the now slightly exasperated look on the other's face, Katsuki leaned down and stopped his stuttering boyfriend from arguing before he could start as stealthily as he could.
