It's a different feeling when you have a face to the voice of the person you were speaking to. She never questioned what he looks like but her mind indirectly concluded that he'd have this more intimidating, scary look with a lewd grin.
But he was so different then she imagined. He was more pure than she expected. She would have never guessed that he is a criminal that was capable of killing his own father if she had somehow encountered him on the streets. It made her realise how psychopaths, serial killers can actually look like anyone else you meet in your daily life. A kind gaze and generous heart. Maybe that's why people are easily fooled by them.
It is statistically said that you will have walked past at least 36 murderers in your lifetime. You never really think about it but the number of murders that happen on a daily basis is unbelievable. It's only because not ever murder is broadcasted to the public but hidden safely in police records.
Unless the criminal is a real danger. Perfect example being Ted Bundy.
But the truth is that everyone is a murderer deep at heart. The only difference is that, there was nothing to trigger the action. There are cases where you kill without realising. And it is said that a person without food for three days will turn into a murderer.
So there were high chances that Eun tak could've become one as well if they did not feed her. When she first woke up in the depths of the dark room she believed that it would be her new prison. With barely much to do and limited amount of food to none. However, she received quite a bit and she was thankful for that.
As much as she hated this experience of being here, it taught her a lot. It made her understand what Joo ri was talking about earlier in the day. But it didn't make her like the experience the slightest.
"Kun"
She darkened her gaze, staring at him. Flickering between the two, Ten distanced himself and headed in without a word.
Looking back at her with the same amount of fierceness he observed her in a deciphering manner. She seemed cold for some strange reason and it confused him. However, the thoughts dissipated when she pointed a finger to his face. "This is what you look like?"
Lips gaping, he let out an airy scoff and scorned to the side with his arms folded across his chest. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Thought you'd be scarier" she honestly responded with a shrug of her shoulder. Bursting out a chuckle he ran his hand through his hair and nodded in acknowledgment. For some reason he caught onto what she meant. "How'd you even know it was me?" it was bizarre that she called his name out with such credence when this was their first ever face to face encounter.
Naturally the edge of her lips lifted up to one side. "Doubt anyone would come and say bye to their prisoner apart from you" snickering at her ability to analyse it with such ease, he couldn't help but find it amazing. With a nod of approval, the older male looked over to the car and then glanced to the ground. "You'll be leaving soon"
