2 weeks later 

it's been 2 weeks since Noah and I got engaged. I honestly cannot believe it. It was a dream come true. The ring is absolutely gorgeous. Today is the day of our engagement party. My mom, Noah's mom, and Stella planned it. We were having it at my mom's house. They were going to have it at my house, but they wanted it to be secret. All we know is that it's more of a chill kind of thing. 

I put my hair into a low braid and put on this pretty 2 piece light green maxi skirt with a matching top. (visual at the top). I put on light makeup and perfume. I put on a pair of white sandals and grabbed my bag. Noah had on creme shorts with a light green shirt. We kind of matched our outfits. 

"Ready to go, future wife?" He asked 

"Yes I am my future husband," I said walking out of the house. 

We drove over to my mom's house. I knocked on the door and Jack opened it. 

"Hi," I said giving him a hug

"Hi, I missed you guys," He said giving Noah a hug 

We walked into the house and greeted everyone. 

"You look so good!" Stella said hugging me 

"Thank you," I said 

My mom and dad came over and hugged us and so did Noah's parents. 

"I'm so excited to have a daughter-in-law!" Noah's mom said hugging me

"Why don't we go into the backyard?" My mom suggested 

Everyone piled out into the backyard. It was decorated with Polaroids and photos of Noah, me, and our families. There were 2 long tables then at the front a table with light green tablecloths. They set up a drink bar, a food bar, and later a dessert bar. 

"This is gorgeous!" I said looking at the photos 

"We know you guys like simple, so we went with simple," my mom told us 

"It's very nice thank you all," Noah said 

"So we planned that we're gonna eat then maybe you guys could do a speech or two?" Noah's mom asked 

"I'm fine with that, babe?" Noah asked 

"Yeah, that's great," I said 

"Ok, well we're gonna go ahead and get the food and bring it out," My mom said 

"I'll help," I said following her 

We went inside and grabbed all the food. They grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and made baked beans and cornbread. The best southern meal you can have. We all made our plates and sat down. Noah and I sat at the table in the front. We all conversed as we ate. Once everyone was down it was time for Noah and I to give our speeches. 

"You wanna go first?" Noah asked me 

"yeah," I said 

I stood up and fixed my outfit

"HI guys, it's so amazing to see my family and my new family here. I'm so glad all of you guys were able to make it. So there's a lot to say about Noah, if I were to say it all we would be here for years. Noah is the most amazing guy I have ever met. He's kind, brave, sweet, caring, and let us not forget handsome. I don't know how I got so lucky to meet this man, but I am more than grateful. Yes, we had a bump in the road, but we overcame it. I believe in fate. Noah is my fate. We came together, fell apart then came back together. Noah bonded so well with my pets, family, and friends. And everyone knows those 3 things are the most important things to me." I paused for a moment and looked around 

"I want to give thanks to everyone. I want to thank my family for everything they did for me growing up. I want to thank my best friend Stella. She has been my best friend for years. She has never backed away from me or left me. you've never left me and I love you so much for that. Now, I want to thank the Bridges. Thank you guys for accepting me. All of you guys welcomed me with open arms. And with that, thank you to everyone" I said sitting back down 

Everyone clapped and it was time for Noah. 

"I could say a million things about Kaia, but no words could sum up how amazing of a person she is. She's smart, badass, hardworking, strong, brave, creative. I said this the night I proposed, but I fell in love with you the night I met you. You are the most amazing person I've ever met. You're selfless. You put everything aside to help someone who needs it. In my entire life, I have never met someone as sweet as you. I can't wait to start a family with you. The way you handle kids, you are going to be the best mother. I'm so excited for you to be my wife. I thank god every day for sending me you. Every day I fall more in love with you, I'm surprised I can, but every day I find something amazing about you. To sum it up. I love you so much" He said sitting back down. 

We shared a sweet kiss as everyone cheered for us. We played a bunch of games and drank. We did karaoke, line dancing, cornhole. Then we ate dessert. My mom made this ice cream cake that my Uncle used to make. She also did a chocolate fountain bar with a bunch of things to dip in the chocolate. Once everyone ate what they wanted we started to clean up. Most people stayed to help, but some left. 

Once we cleaned everything up Noah and I went back home and we to bed.
