YOU REGRETTED AGREEING to practice with the eight boys within the first ten minutes. Waking up before dawn to get on a bus with a full team of boys, then practicing almost right after you got off the bus until seven PM wasn't exactly energy boosting.
You were on receiving duty and Bokuto had taken Suna's comment on not going easy on you literal, but you could handle yourself.
"Where are you going Tsuki?!" Bokuto shouted, his voice booming as it bounced off of the walls of the gym.
"To bed, it's already ten and we have to get up early, bye."
The blond known as Tsukishima from Karasuno stated, wasting no time as he exited the gym as fast as a flash of lightning.
"Then we should call it a night, too," Yuto stated responsibly, walking towards his water bottle that rested little ways out of the court you all occupied.
"Yeah, hate to admit it, but I'm exhausted," Atsumu followed close behind, Osamu following his twin quietly. Osamu was quiet, but not as quiet as he was when he got tired or hungry.
"You guys are lame! We can go another hour, right Kuroo?!"
"Sure, buddy," Kuroo agreed. You supposed he would continue to practice alongside Bokuto and Akaashi, then.
Suna brushed his shoulder next to yours gently, looking over at you as he began to walk towards where Yuto and the twins gathered.
"Come on, I'll walk you to the manager's room," Suna told you, but you didn't think anything of it. It was what he usually did with you, told you things that he would do so it kept you safe rather than asked you, because he knew you would deny out of common courtesy.
"If you wouldn't mind, I can take over that role for the night," a voice from behind you both interrupted, but you knew that voice.
The tips of your ears began to grow red even before you turned around, because Akaashi Keiji was asking to walk you back to where you would be sleeping.
You weren't expecting it, not even in the slightest. The entirety of the day Akaashi had been giving you glances, or blatantly just staring at you until you did it back to him. He didn't make the first move to speak to you, and when you both did speak to one another it was brief and shy.
