I made a reference to one of my favorite stop-motion animated movie in this chapter, interested to see if anyone knows where it's from!

We had returned and emptied the gloink sacks along with everyone else. Caine then counted and congratulated us for our victory. We were presented a digital feast (cooked by head chef bubble, of course) to which the food tasted the exact same way it had on the first day of entering the digital world: fake. But of course, I didn't complain.

After the feast, everyone went their own separate ways. As me and jax walked down the hallway I told him that I was tired and left him with a quick kiss on the cheek. 

After shutting my door, I leaned against it and took a deep breath, ready to collapse from exhaustion. Maybe the digital body worked like astronauts coming back to earth from being in space for a long time- easily tired and weak sense of direction 

As I was approaching my bed, already feeling my eyelids droop, I heard a strange giggling noise...

I froze, my blood turning to ice as I waited for the sounds again, and sure enough, a playful giggling accompanied by a shuffling sound resonated throughout my room.

"What the-..." as the sounds continued, I searched around for where it was coming from, finnaly pinpointing my desk where the sound was the loudest. I wedged my hands between the desk and the wall and struggled (but succeded) to move it out of place. Behind the desk was a small, blue, star-shaped gloink with two huge eyes. Before I could react, it jumped at my face and bounced off my nose, causing me to fall back. 

As I got up and dusted myself off, the small blinks bounced off the walls of my room, joyously laughing and taunting me. Did caine miscount? How did it even get into my room in the first place?!

I chased it around, knowing I looked like a fool as I did so. Whoever it could it aimed for me as it's next target to bounce off of. Sometimes I avoided it, but other times I wasn't so lucky.

Finnaly, my teeth clenched and my body aching, I leapt  for the gloink and pinned it under my hands as we both hit the floor. "Gotcha!" I cheered, narrowing my eyes at the colorful little creature. But of course, luck not in my favor, the captured gloink giggled one more time before it disappeared in a cloud of smoke. 

I stood, looking around to see if the gloink had respawned. "&#!%..." I muttered to myself as I closed my eyes and tried to calm down.
