Charlotte walked the sidewalks of the university, being around 10 minutes from the lecture hall. Her bag sat comfortably on her shoulders, anyone behind her being able to see the yellow Michigan university 'M' on the navy blue bag, with hockey written under it in white stitching. She thought about how she wished she agreed to rutger driving her, her body starting to feel sweaty as the sun reflected on her face. Just as she was thinking that, she saw the dark grey jeep stop beside her. The window rolled down, the boy nodding at her to get in.
" I literally could've walked", she immediately spoke as she got in and sat down on the seat, " why do you feel the need to drive me?",
Rutger looked at her confused, " What's your problem today. Why would you want to walk, when I offer to drive you every time we have this class", he said as she began to drive.
" Just wanted a change", she shrugged. The boy rolled his eyes, " You don't need to drive me home. I have a practice after",
" Who said I was gonna drive you home?", he teased, earning an eye roll from the girl as they got out and walked into the building. " Seriously, what's wrong with you",
" Nothing, I think you're going insane", she joked, Rutger shoving her slightly as they sat down. " So you're obviously playing for USA again this year?",
He nodded, " And they said I was gonna be captain. But don't tell anyone that, I wasn't supposed to say", he said immediately remembering no one knew about that.
" I'm gonna tell everyone", she joked, " but that's good. Should be fun". Rutger smiled, then looking back to pay attention to their class. The girl wish she could just admit to herself that she had feelings for him, but she just couldn't.
