"I'm so sorry baby, I had no idea they hated you. I never would have suggested my dad meet us there if I had." Tyler held Lyla so tight that she started coughing due to the lack of oxygen.

Realizing his mistake he loosened his grip enough to pull back and look at her.

"Why are you here Tyler? I understand perfectly okay. Just another way to humiliate Lyla in front of everyone. Go back to my skank sister and let me find someone who will actually love and care enough for me to never lie or deceive me." Lyla tried to break free from Tyler's arms but he held on.

"Baby, I told you I love you and I am thrilled you're my mate. I never had any thoughts about your sister in that way. You are my soulmate and I will not let any other male have what's mine." He tried rubbing his nose along Lyla's mark but she managed to get loose and she bolted off the couch.

"Lyla, please sweetie. You have to believe me. I only want you." Tyler stood and tried to walk to her but she hid behind Adam and Alpha Grey.

Alpha Drew turned to Lyla and Adam. "Why did neither if you tell me about all the abuse? We could have avoided this whole situation if I was informed of what was happening."

Adam spoke up first, "I tried once sir but you were not available and the beta just laughed. When I returned home he had called my father and told him what I said and I was the one that received the beating that night."

"What! Adam why didn't you ever tell me?" Lylas face broke Tyler's heart.

"It was my mistake and you would have paid the price, besides I'm sure you would have attacked him back and then we both would have been bruised for weeks." Adam told Lyla.

"That's the week you stayed in your room. You said you were out with friends after work and got in a fight." Lyla frowned remembering. "You broke your arm."

Adam looked away so Lyla couldn't see his clenched jaw. "Yes."

"All because of me." Lyla whispered as she sank into the chair beside her.

Adam turned around and knelt in front of her. "No Lyla, because our family is sick and twisted is the only reason. Never because of you." Looking at Lyla he wiped a tear with his thumb. "Never because of you." He kissed her forehead then rested his head against hers.

"Actually after Tyler explained that he was mated to their daughter but not the one they wanted he then punched her father and ran upstairs. I got the truth out of Karin." Alpha Drew shared.

"Jealousy and bitterness was her motive to turn everyone you knew against you. Of course the true friends and people that genuinely knew you never fed into her manipulations but unfortunately your parents did.

I have sent them away and you will be safe from now on. Lyla, I swear Tyler had no knowledge of Karin's interest in him and as soon as you ran up the stairs he threatened your family, told me the truth then ran after you. Please give him a chance to prove his love and worth to you."

"There really gone for good? We will never have to see them again?" Lyla asked moving out from behind Adam.

"Yes, the house is Adams and yours and the others have been escorted out of the territory and the neighboring packs have been notified of the reason of their banishment."

Nodding Lyla then looked at Tyler. "Can we talk in private please."

Tyler immediately shook his head yes and Lyla went for the front door. "Lyla you can use my room." Tommy said pointing to a door down the hall.

Tyler growled but his father spoke up before Lyla got a chance. "Tyler Klock! I suggest if you would like your mate to accept you then you better crush any jealous thoughts right now. This pack offered protection when they thought she was in danger. Give them the respect you would want given to you and apologize to your mate while you're at it." Alpha Drew commanded.
