*This starts in the light world. The skelebros are currently staying with the Dreemurr's because their house was destroyed by the hailstorm and earthquakes. Everything they owned was saved, so don't worry. Kris woke up, showered, and got some clothes on. They got Artemis ready for the day. Ralsei and Na were there that morning. Kris gave Ralsei a kiss on the forehead.

"Alright. Artemis, Na, dad is going to head out and take care of something. Don't go outside. It's not safe out there. Ralsei, you can teach our son to play farm games." Kris said. They were about to head out. "I'll be back hopefully tonight! Love you, bye!!"

Kris went on their way. Undyne once again poked her head out the window.

"WHY ARE YOU OUT IN A THUNDERSTORM?!" She asked.

"I GOTTA TAKE CARE OF SOMETHING!!" Kris answered.

"OKAY, COME HERE, I WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE SAFE!!"

Kris went into Susie's house. In this AU, Susie has siblings, and she lives with Alphys and Undyne, and Alphys and Undyne are married.

"Do you have an umbrella or anything that can protect you from the rain?" Undyne asked.

"I have the same thing I had in the hailstorm." Kris answered.

Susie walked in, half asleep, and she looked like a mess.

"Hey Susie. I found an ice worm so I'm off to go kill it." Kris said. "I would ask for you to come with, but it's colder than a witch's tit out there. I know you're not the biggest fan of cold. I should go now. Ah, that reminds me. I need to ask Berdly to help me with this one. You know why."

Kris ran to the Holiday's house, snatched Berdly, and ran with no explanation. Kris booked it to the dark world, almost getting struck two separate times.

When they got to the dark world, Kris looked for the harpies. Berdly came with. After a while, they found the harpies. Kris saw a familiar face.

"Isaac...is that you?" Kris asked.

"Huh? Wait, KRIS?!" Isaac said.

"It's been a while!!" Kris said.

They caught up for a little while.

"So...this is something kind of big, but...I found a giant ice worm thing, and it's causing some problems. Like, a blizzard. Do you think that you and other harpies may be able to help? I cannot fly, and my idiot friend Berdly can't handle that whole thing alone, I don't want him getting killed." Kris said.

"Where?" Isaac asked

Kris explained exactly where they saw it, and that they're not sure exactly where it is, but it's gotta be there.

"I'll try to bring a few friends." Isaac stated.

"Thank you." Kris said. They went back to where Berdly was.

"So...what are we going to do? I can't do it alone." Berdly said.

"I am well aware, however, I do have an idea." Kris said.

They went back to the castle town, and Kris immediately grabbed some flexible sticks that are also very sturdy. They thought the sticks were cool. They grabbed their pillowcase, which was patterned similarly to their blanket, and ripped it off their pillow. They did something to it. Berdly went to the color cafe to talk with everyone there and have some water.

Kris grabbed some strong twine, and immediately tied the whole thing together. They realized they messed it up a little bit, so they got to fixing it.

At the Color Cafe...

"It just makes no sense! They tell me there's a flying ice worm at that we need to kill it, but I can't fight it alone!! They said they asked harpies, which I personally thought was a bad idea, because a harpy tried to kill them. Kris themself cannot fly." Berdly said.

Kris opened the door and looked excited.

"BERDLY, GUESS WHAT I MADE WITH STICKS, TWINE, MY PILLOWCASE, AND SHEER DETERMINATION!!" Kris said excitedly.

"Uh...what?"

Kris pulled out what they made.

"You sure that's going to hold up?" Berdly asked.

"....let me go test it."

Kris tested it. It works. Perfectly.

"Yep. It works." Kris stated.

"Wow. I think you should show the other hashira." Berdly said.

"Yeah. Uzui, Iguro, and Sanemi can't seem to accept that I'm not as dumb as they thought I was. I call myself dumb partially as a joke. Susie calls me dumbass because that's just what she does. They actually think I'm dumb. I know that the others are aware that I'm not that dumb, I just play dumb a lot, mostly because I'm scared of things. There's a reason I was able to put together an entire research team and the royal guard. I'm. Not. Stupid." Kris said

"I agree, you're not that dumb." Swatch said. "I'd just say...you're irresponsible sometimes."

"Yeah. It's so annoying. They think I'm dumb. I'm not. I do dumb things because they're fun. Uzui once called me childish. While I may have a few behaviors that seem childish, I can be very mature. An example of a childish behavior I have is somewhat raising my hands into the air and saying 'yay' when I'm told something that makes me happy." Kris said. "It's so fucking annoying that Uzui called me childish. I. AM. AUTISTIC. I. AM. NOT. CHILDISH."

Note: I, the author of this fan fiction, as also a diagnosed autistic person.

Tengen walked in while Kris was saying that.

"I FUCKING HATE IT!! I'm not blaming being neurodivergent for my actions, I'm blaming myself, as I should take responsibility. I tried to explain to the asshole that is the sound hashira that because I have ADHD, it's incredibly hard to remember things. I get distracted easily. I don't ever wash dishes because I simply hate the feeling of it. I hate it. I hate scraping old, soggy, food off of dishes. I hate it. You know another thing I hate? WHEN PEOPLE THINK I'M STUPID SIMPLY BECAUSE I HAPPEN TO NOT BE THE SMARTEST PERSON TO WALK THE EARTH!! I MAY DO DUMB THINGS, BUT I CAN ALSO DO GREAT THINGS!! I can perfectly recreate something I saw in a game I like, using a pillowcase, sticks, and twine." Kris said. "Oh. I just remembered that I have therapy in ten minutes. Gotta go."

Kris saw Tengen, and said "fuck you" in Japanese. They left. They went to therapy.
