A/N sorry it's short. Not only did I have finals I got caught up reading the first 6 Wings of Fire graphic novels Oopsies

As the teacher (who's name I think we've all forgotten) went around collecting everyone's introduction cards, Dawn rolled her eyes and let out a small smile towards Nightmare. It may have been tasteless, but a Barbie was by far not the worst thing he could've compared her to. She quickly sketched a MUCH better doll next to it before writing her own message.

-So, when we hand in our cards are you going to give a speech about how great you are and how much you should be excused from this activity?-

Nightmare seemed to take an extra second to glare at Dawn's rendition of his drawing. She couldn't help but feel that he might even be a little bit Jealous of her ability to draw a decently humanoid figure.

*They won't even ask. Besides, we've been doing this type of thing since Kindergarten. Tell me it's not cringe. I dare you.*
-Maybe you have, but I haven't. I was kinda homeschooled growing up. By that I mean me and my friends read books from the local library on school days.-

Nightmare couldn't help but be jealous. Not only did she still manage to have friends, but she didn't have to sit through the droning of teachers everyday. It was weird she was by herself here, but Dream did say something briefly about there being other people at the house when he went to visit. Maybe that was it; it was highly possible at least.

*Lucky you. Trust me, whatever novelty you have in listening to this woman ramble on about our intros will wear off eventually. You might even have the guts to cut class. I'd pay to see that."

Dawn laughed, interrupted by the teacher awkwardly rapping on the desk to gather her attention. Also Nightmare's but she was very much afraid of him and had a feeling he didn't do his assignment. She'd play it smart and give him an A;though, she had heard the stories teachers told about him.

"Excuse me, but would you mind turning in your introduction card? I need them to grade as well as get more acquainted with my students."
Dawn quickly (but neatly) tore it from her notebook and handed it to the teacher, who did an awkward bow/handshake. Everyone could tell she was dying of embarrassment then, so she just glanced at Nightmare, saw he had no work, and scuttled off.

Nightmare cleared his throat and pointed discreetly at the paper, clearly waiting for an answer. Dawn had to stifle a laugh; he was so needy. Whatever "Bad boy" persona he had going on was not working. She saw right through him, and it was insane how much he was just a child.

-Well, possibly. Still, she doesn't seem like a teacher who has the ability to drone on and on. She actually seems pretty nice.-

*Yeah, whatever. You sound like my ooey gooey happy excuse for a twin brother. Nice or not, she's a random old hag we're stuck with for six hours. Seriously, can't we get more teachers for our other subjects?*
-I'm going to be honest, with the way you act this class is lucky we have a separate Magic training teacher. I don't know how they convinced this one to work with you.-

*She seems new. Probably a pushover. You know, it would be much easier if you had been a pushover and just sat with your pals up there. Better view of the board for you, a teacher's pet.*

Dawn smiled and glanced up at the time. Nightmare noticed that with her free time, she had been taking History notes. Wait, when did the teacher start doing History? Hadn't she collected the greeting cards just a second ago? He was pulled back to reality as Dawn smugly slid the note back over to him.

-If it's really that bad talking to me, how come you've been doing it for the past 20 minutes? Honestly, if you weren't an automatic A because of your threats, you'd be hopeless.-

*Relax with the ego there huh? Usually 20 minutes only feels like an hour. Thanks to you, I figured it had been 3.*

-You sure about that? You looked pretty surprised when you glanced up and that clock earlier.-

*Curse you and your creepy ability to take notes in class, write messages, and stalk me. Honestly, you must be my biggest fan.*

Dawn giggled; unknown to the two of them they were the class' hot new gossip topic. They may have thought they were being slick, but it was painfully obvious. The real question was who would be stupid enough to bring it up to them, and who would be making a profit from bets?
