"Prove it." I challenged sniffling. They paused. "You hate horror movies and can't work a PC monitor." They nit picked. That was definitely Hayden. I unlocked the door, quickly retreating to the small corner I sat in. "What are you doing in here?" Hayden asked, closing the door behind him. "I was just..." I paused. "Contemplating my life choices..." I muttered. "In a closet?" He questioned. "Yeah..." I confirmed quietly. I stared at the tile floor hoping Hayden wouldn't see the tears building up in my eyes. He sat on the floor next to me. "I'm sorry about-" He started. "It's fine." I interrupted. I already knew what he was going to say. "If your dad gets mad at you I'll tell him it was my fault if it makes you feel any better..." He offered. If he did he would probably die. I began to sob pathetically. "He'll just kill you..." I croaked, my voice going weak. "You're not going to lose me." Hayden reassured, rubbing my back.

HAYDEN'S POV

"I won't...?" Jaxx asked weakly. I faked a smile in hopes it would make him feel better. I was scared too. "Of course not..." I said. "W-What if my dad breaks us up...?" He asked again. "He won't." I responded. He looked at me curiously. "But-" He started. I stopped him. I pointed to his chest. "Your relationships are your decisions. Not his." I said. "But what will happen if people find out?" Jaxx questioned. "What are they going to do? Bully you? You're the prince of hell Jaxx. You can kill everyone in this whole school if you wanted to." I answered. "Yeah I guess..." He muttered.

The door slammed open, revealing Lucifer. "Jaxxon Fernsbee Morningstar-" He started. I stood up, making a sad attempt to meet his tall height as I stood on my toes. "It's Jaxx." I corrected. "I wasn't talking to you peasant." Satan said flatly. Shoving me to the side. Before he could even think about getting to his son, I shoved him back, rage flowing in my veins. "LEAVE HIM ALONE." I commanded, manifesting a shadow behind me. "What are you going to do about it you little bitch." He belittled. Since our last fight that wasn't a bicker my powers had since gotten stronger. (Mainly from Jaxx's help.) Without an undeserving warning, I threw it at him. Surprisingly, he fell over. As much as I wanted to jump over him, and run away forever, I knew I couldn't without being dragged to the floor and killed. I knew I couldn't just stand there and wait for him to hit me. But I did anyway in fear.

I watched in horror as he angrily got up off of the concrete floor. Now I was dead. I held a small ball of shadow matter in my hands anxiously. Within seconds I was lifted- more thrown into the air by Satan's telekinesis. I never thought this was how my life would end. Thrown into the air by The Devil's telekinesis in front of his son who was also my now boyfriend. The presence around my throat began to get tighter. I would try to break it but what was I supposed to do? Fight the air? The least he could have done was use his fists to give me some kind of chance at life. My mom always told me that violence hits people better than any words can. Unfortunately, I couldn't use violence against oxygen. Now I would have to resort to my 'attitude' as life itself faded away.
