THE DOPEMAN by ralo blasted through the speakers. My folks was throwing me a block party. It was really a welcome home party. I spent 2 years in jail for a stupid drug charge.

Jail really taught me a lot of things. I'm just glad to be out of that place. I can now see my family. I'm just glad to be free. That's all that matters.

"Now peanut this how you do a party!" My cousin key handed me a cup full of my auntie special juice. It was juice that had a whole mixture of different liquors. It'll have you messed up.

"Right i really appreciate y'all for doing this for me. I love y'all." I felt relieved. I was so glad that I can finally see my people.

"We love you too mama. I'm glad you home though. I can finally see you in person." Key opened her arms to hug me. I hugged her feeling myself about to cry.

"Oh hell naw don't start that crying shit. You gonna mess up your makeup." She pulled from the hug looking at me sternly.

"Oh yeah you right." I agreed with a laugh. I may act hard and shit but deep down inside inside ima sensitive ass cry baby.

"You find you a nigga yet?"

"Hell naw ain't none of these niggas my type. I'm just chilling right now." There was some good looking men out here but they weren't really my type.

"Peanut you been celibate for two years. I know you need sum dick. You seen kool yet?" She said making me roll my eyes.

"Naw I haven't seen him yet." I sighed. Kool was my first love and my ex boyfriend. We known each other since the sandbox days. We did a whole lot of shit together. All that changed when i got locked up.

"Don't be sounding like that. You know you miss that nigga. He misses you just as much as you miss him." She chuckled.

"He doesn't miss me. When i was in he didn't even write me back. I even tried calling him. It just went straight to voicemail." I shrugged brushing off my feelings and emotions.
