"And what if it's your fucking birthday tomorrow?! I don't give a fuck!"

"Aww just this once?"

You sat on the stool, waiting for his shift to end. He took note of how you lived alone and usually walked to and back by yourself so now he took it upon himself to walk you back home. Hey, it's progress.

"Hell no!" He replied as he scanned the items of an old man. "I could care less about your birthday!"

"Are you guys dating?" The old man asked with a sweet smile.

"Soon!"

"No!"

Your answers got mixed up but the elder didn't care anyways.

"Better take care of her, son. My wife died a while ago and I still regret not going with her when she was gonna go to a party."

Katsuki gritted his teeth. "Keep out of this, old man."

"Oh but it's true. She died when an assaulter was robbing the store. And you know what? I'd do anything to go back and force myself to go. Indulge her on her birthday. You might regret it."

The old man took the bag without paying, clever man. Katsuki grumbled as he thought about it for a moment. Regret? The great Katsuki Bakugo never regretted anything. But if you managed to get yourself hurt or some shit and it was because he refused to go, he'd never live it down.

"F...fine. Fine, you fucking win."

"Yay!" As you cheered, his ears turned a pink color.

"Shut up! I hate you!"

"I know you don't <3."
