hey! calm down! it's okay!
break outs are totally normal. whatever you do, DON'T POP IT. and NO TOOTHPASTE.
go through this list first:
- Are you using a moisturizer/enough moisturizer?
- Having oily skin doesn't mean you can skip on
moisturizer!
- Are you using an exfoliant? (12 yrs and older)
- What kinds of inflammatory things may be on your face? (dirt, makeup, not face oil, etc.)
- Age. (girls 14-17/boys 17-19)
- This is completely normal! Just happens with
age.
- What kinds of medications are you taking? Do any of them cause acne? (ask a dermatologist)
- What does your diet look like?
- If your diet consists of chips, pizza, and oily
foods, these may be causing your acne! (this is a
completely normal diet! the oils may factor into
your acne)
- Stress.
- Stress can't cause acne. Stress can make acne
worse.
- Hormonal changes.
- Hormonal changes such as puberty or
pregnancy can create acne.
- Family History.
- Genetics plays a role in acne. If both of your
parents had acne, you're likely to develop it.
- Friction or pressure on skin.
- This can be caused by items such as telephones, cellphones, helmets, tight collars and backpacks.
it may be the products your using, too. try changing your skincare or makeup routine one product at a time. find what works and doesn't work for you.
