Louis stared at the revised schedule in his hand, his heart pounding loudly in his chest. The letters seemed to blur together, creating an incomprehensible mess. He felt the familiar weight of anxiety settle heavily on his shoulders, squeezing the air out of his lungs.
"What's wrong, Lou?" Harry's concerned voice broke through the haze of panic that engulfed him.
Louis swallowed hard, trying to force the words past the lump in his throat. "Th-they changed it. They changed the schedule," he finally managed to stutter out, thrusting the paper towards Harry.
Harry quickly scanned the document before his eyebrows furrowed in understanding. "Oh, I see. They moved the studio session forward by two hours."
Two hours might seem insignificant to others, but for Louis with his autism, it was a seismic shift. His carefully structured routine had been thrown into disarray, leaving him feeling lost and vulnerable.
"Are you okay, mate?" Liam asked, his voice laced with concern as he approached them.
Louis shook his head, his hands trembling slightly. "N-no. I-I don't know what to do."
Zayn stepped forward, placing a comforting hand on Louis' shoulder. "Hey, it's alright. We'll figure this out together, yeah?"
Niall nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're a team. We'll come up with a plan to make this work for you, Louis."
Louis felt a surge of gratitude wash over him at their words. Despite his struggles, his bandmates always had his back.
"Okay," he said, his voice still shaky but more determined now. "Okay, let's figure this out."
They huddled together, their heads bent over the schedule as they brainstormed solutions. Ideas flew back and forth, each one building upon the last until finally, they had a plan in place.
"We can adjust our morning routines to accommodate the earlier start," Liam suggested.
"And we'll make sure to give you plenty of warning before any changes in the future," Harry added, shooting Louis an apologetic look.
Louis nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. "Thanks, guys. I-I really appreciate it."
"No problem, mate," Niall said with a grin. "We're always here for you."
With their support, Louis felt a newfound sense of confidence. Together, they could overcome any obstacle that came their way.
As they headed off to tackle the day ahead, Louis couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond they shared. With his friends by his side, he knew he could face anything – even unexpected changes to the schedule.
