The distinction between confidence and arrogance is often overlooked by many individuals, leading them to proceed with their actions without considering the consequences. Despite recognizing the foolishness of her actions, Sumire couldn't shake off a sense of pity in the depths of her mind.

The Mukata triplets possess great potential, yet their growth is hindered by a narrow-minded approach. Without broadening one's perspective, personal evolution remains out of reach.

This fundamental difference in mindset is what sets Sumire apart from others, ensuring that she and those like her will never  be on the same level.

3rd person POV:

After exchanging a brief congratulation and embracing each other, Gouenji and Sumire cautiously approached the Mukata triplets, taking their time to carefully choose their words. The pace at which they approached seemed agonizingly slow, as they were fully aware of the tension and animosity that had surrounded Sumire in the past.

Sumire's expression was particularly difficult to decipher, leaving some of the Raimon Eleven to wonder how she was being perceived by the triplets.

Given her history as the primary target of their hatred and the enemy they desperately wanted to surpass, it was understandable that Sumire felt a sense of unease and uncertainty in that moment.

Masaru glanced at him, "Did you come here to laugh at us, like yeah?"

The platinum haired male didn't respond to him and held his hand out with a smile.

The boy didn't accept it and slapped it away. The triplets stood up. "The three of us swore to each other that we'd beat you two!"

Tomo exclaimed.

"Triangle Z should have been the strongest everl
Why couldn't we win?!" Tsutomu clenched his fist. Gouenii looked at them sadly, while Sumire could only shake her head in disappointment.

"It's true that you guys have trained like dogs for the past year." they looked at Nikaido.

"But you three thought you were the only ones who could take on Gouenji, Suzuki, and Raimon Junior High. However, they have fought by including all of the members on their team. Winning or losing at soccer wasn't based on whether or not they had Goueni alone." Nikaido stated.

The triplets looked at Raimon. "Winning or losing a match isn't due to Gouenji alone. And Suzuki's help outside the field..." Masaru muttered.

"Instead of just the three of us." Tomo trailed off.

"...We needed the power of the whole team." Tsutomu finished

"Coach Nikaido.' Gouenji and Sumire turned to his former coach.

"Gouenj. You've grown a lot this past year. I'm glad." the man smiled at them.

"Suzuki, I hope your condition is getting better?"

"It's progressing, slowly but steadily..."

Sumire explained but halted in mid sentence, letting the next words that left her mouth be the most sincere she can try to make them sound.

"I'm sorry for causing trouble for everyone last year. I promised to lead us to the Finals, and in the end I didn't even show up and then-"

Observing the female's impending hyperventilation, he gently placed his hand on her shoulder, offering reassurance through a comforting pat accompanied by a warm smile.

"I am fully cognizant of the unfortunate incident, and I understand the burden of guilt you are carrying. However, please rest assured that it was never your responsibility or fault..."
