Hey! People tend to mischaracterize characters ALOT in fandoms, I've even been guilty of this myself, so here's how I think the future au characters would get mischaracterized ^^

Fanon: depressed boy who thinks about su!cide 24/7
Canon: whilst Dalton DOES have anxiety and depression, that's not his ONLY character trait, and there's more to him then just that
🪦Oliver🪦
Fanon: not really a mischaracterizion, but I feel like the fandom would make SO MANY JOKES about him almost dying CONSTANTLY, or he'd be considered the "voice of reason" of the group
Canon: is only SLIGHTLY smarter than his friends (and it's not by much)
🔆Dylan🔆
Fanon: get reduced to just "girl who wants to bang her friends parents"
Canon: a traumatized child who's confusing her desire for a male parental figure with romantic attraction
🍇Violet🍇
Fanon: UwU soft girl who can't defend herself, that or people would draw her skinny
Canon: whilst she is considered the "sweet one" of the group, she is capable of defending herself, she's also a little buff (not much, but she's got SOME muscle)
🦽Anthony🦽
Fanon: basically non-existent
Canon: is a major part of the friend group
🍓Redgi🍓
Fanon: would either get considered "bland", or get hated on for "getting in the way of other ships"
Canon: has an ACTUAL personality, like...c'mon, there's a REASON why Dalton has a crush on him
🤺Finn🤺
Fanon: would either get hated on for "getting in the way of a ship", or be shipped with Oliver despite not having any romantic feelings for him
Canon: she likes WOMEN guys, she does NOT want Oliver
💄Miranda💄
Fanon: get called a "yandere", or the fandom would think she doesn't actually love Redgi
Canon: genuinely did love Redgi, but in her mind, the cult came first
🫀Andras🫀
Fanon: would probably also get called a "yandere", or the fandom would think he hates Redgi
Canon: actually considers Redgi a friend, and doesn't mind him dating Dalton, all he cares about is that Dalton's happy ___________________________________________________________
