Adisa wasn't normal. Normality was something he lacked. In his pack, he stood out like a sore thumb and as much as he tried to fit in he just didn't. He walked like them. He talked like them too, but he never got over the intense feeling that he didn't belong.

As time passed, he repressed it. All of them. He couldn't deny the fact that his family welcomed him with warm arms and sometimes he felt like maybe this was the life he was destined for.

As he laid on a grass bed and witnessed the stars crawl onto their canvas, he felt ease. It stretched across his body like blanket, tucking him in.  For a brief moment, even, solidifying his position in that small world of his.

Click. "Argh!"

Adisa's eyes popped open and his body reacted before he did. He glanced over his family, most of them were still laying nestled up. King stood stock still at the edge of the group. Two males were slowly waking up, but before they began to protect the tribe,  King let out a huff of air.

That huff of air told him to go scout out their surroundings.

At that point in Adisa's life, he hadn't finished maturing. Although he was an adolescent, he was more agile than some of the other boys . Adisa was still able to climb high onto trees and sustain his height there. His brothers ,who he had been raised beside, grew large, muscular, and hairy beyond belief. Most of them discontinued their youthful activities while a few tried unsuccessfully.

Adisa went alone. The males stayed behind to protect the family. He walked cautiously and let his eyes dart around at every movement. The sun rested on the hills, casting an orange hue onto it's realm. There was the ever present hum of nature and the sound of ragged breathing.  He moved toward the breathing.

Adisa thought it was an another beast. The beast had not looked like those in his family, but more like him. The beast's skin was darker and it's hair was in spirals. He stood on his hind legs and used his front legs to claw at the contraption that caught one of his limbs. Adisa knew that contraption. He had been caught in one   seasons before and it was unpleasant. He remembered having to use all of his strength to pry the thing off of his ankle.

To see this stranger that looked like him in pain conjured up an unknown feeling that settled into his lower abdomen.

He crawled towards the beast, hiding behind trees and plants.

Crack. A stick split under Adisa's foot and the beast looked him directly in the eye. Both of them froze. Both were in odd positions. Adisa wanted to free the beast and follow him back to where ever he came from, but he had responsibilities. Adisa had to watch over his family, to make sure they continued to roam and to not abandon them like he had once been.

The man, on the other hand, needed medical attention. He also didn't know what to think of the naked white man. He looked as if he lost his marbles, and that in itself was a greater risk than his probably infected wound. In any other instance, the man would of ran as far as he could manage. Unfortunately he was stuck, and he couldn't move his leg without making it worse. He knew that he needed the naked man to free himself and he watched as Adisa grew closer.

Adisa crept through the tall grass, feeling uneasy even though he wasn't in any immediate danger. He felt like he was sneaking up on him, but their eyes never parted.

The man moved unconsciously and let out a hiss as Adisa finally reached him. Adisa huffed in front of the man, telling him to stop.

The message was not received and the man moved again. Then Adisa growled as roughly as he could manage. The man once again froze.

Adisa placed his hands in between the jaws of the device and pulled them apart. The man groaned as the metal slowly eased away from his ankle until there was enough space to pull his foot through.

"Dankie." Thank you. The man had said after he was freed. Adisa stared at the man and huffed out another piece of air.

Footsteps approached.

"Achilles! Waar is jy!" Where are you. A voice shouted.

"Achisa!" The man yelled back as he sat on the ground. The man sighed in relief as his sister and his coworkers appeared. He turned back to face his savior to realize he was gone.

A/N: I'm really sorry for the wait guys. I was busy and I had a major case of writers block. I really did try in this month and a half, but I was forcing it and I didn't like the result. I also have been diagnosed with depression and I'm at high risk of schizophrenia.

Yeah so I'm literally like Flora( a character from another book) except I don't see ghosts lol.

This past summer has been rough as shit but I want to know your best or worst memory this summer.
