So much had changed over the past few months, they were constantly moving, constantly finding ways to survive. Lori had decided to keep her baby which had been a shock to many. Emory was trying to grasp what their life would be like once the baby was born, she wondered how would it survive.

Rick seemed to be estranged from his wife, ever since they had fled the farm, the two hardly interacted. Emory didn't understand how he could be so cold to the mother of his children, especially while she was heavily pregnant but it wasn't her business.

The women and Hershel carried their things into a house that the men had cleared out, as Rick signaled them to come in. Emory ignored the dead body by the door as she made her way toward the living room , dropping her things.

She ran a hand through her curly dark brown, hair, which she hated. She avoided looking in a mirror because she looked exactly like her mother and that reminder was painful.

The group was starving and it didn't help that despite the lack of food, Emory was sticking to her vegetarian beliefs which annoyed Daryl to no end. She vomited the first time she saw him skin a snake and eat it. She wanted to vomit at the sight of him plucking the feathers off a bird as they all gathered around the living room.

She watched as Carl entered the room with two cans of dog food, another thing she refused to consume. He worked on opening the jars when his father noticed and walked toward him.

Rick snatched the open can from him and threw it into the fire place.

Everyone was starving, they were filthy and exhausted. Leaving the farm had been a harsh reality check and the further this epidemic went on, the more they realized this was their life now.

T-dog signaled for everyone to get up at the sight of walkers headed for them. Emory was quick to grab her bag as were the others and they darted out of the home.

Maggie snatched an axe from the side of a house before she hopped in the suv with Emory, Beth, Hershel and Glenn. The sound of a walker slamming against the car had them flooring it.

Once the group was a considerable distance away, they stopped on the backroads. Everyone got out of their respective cars, carrying a weapon in their hands.

Carl ran up to his father, waiting instructions while the others laid out a map. Carl had matured so much within those past few months, he was alert and capable of using a gun.

"We got no place left to go," T-dog said holding down the map.

"When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off. We'll never make it south," Maggie said pointing out the herds they had encountered along the way.
