-~-~-~-~-~-MEGAN'S POV-~-~-~-~-~-

It was pretty much a normal day in the morning; playing with the stick figures along with Dr. Kitsune. Fridays were always the calmest day of the week. I knew me and King's session would start soon, and everybody had gotten used to my new schedule. King still doesn't like going out, but he's getting used to it. I pressed the button and called for him. Like always, he came out a few seconds later and we walked over to my office.

I helped him up to my desk and I started our usual lessons. I was teaching him something different every week or two. One week it would be about socializing with the others, another it would be learning things that he likes and doesn't. This week was one of those weeks where I would show him different objects and test his reactions. Whether that would be something like a picture of an animal, or something physical. My items today were about nature.

I was supposed to show him a few common flowers like poppies, daisies, lilies, violets, roses, etc.. He didn't really show that much interest in most of the flowers until I showed him something called a Goldenrod—a small cluster of even smaller bright yellow flowers. He saw the flowers and reached out to them with one hand. They didn't tell me he wasn't allowed to touch it, so I just gave it to him. They were fake anyhow.

He felt the petals for a bit and gave it back to me after a minute and I put it alongside the other flowers. I showed him some animal pictures of birds and insect photos of butterflies and ladybugs, but he didn't really care about any of them. I filled out his reaction sheet for today and when it came to "Goldenrod", I wrote that he showed genuine interest and made a mental note about it. Why did he even care about that flower in particular? Was it because of the color? No, because the sunflower was also yellow and he didn't care about that one. Was it the size? No, because another flower with a name I can't pronounce was about the same size. Maybe the name meant something to him?

Once our session was done, I took him back to the room with everybody else. Red was really excited to play freeze tag and everybody else agreed on it. I decided to make Dark "It" first just to make things interesting. I had an 8 minute timer on my phone, and watched the chaos happening right in front of me. I was always the kind of person to cause this kind of trouble between people when I was a kid so, I figured I'd just let this happen.

As I thought, because of Dark's air advantage, he was able to swoop down and tag a lot of people. He was fast too. Whenever he saw someone just running in the general direction of somebody he tagged, he'd tag them within 2 seconds. It got to the point where Red was the last one standing, and it was a massive cat and mouse chase between him, everybody else, and Dark. Red managed to slip past him and free Yellow, and became a chain of Yellow and Red slipping by him and in-freezing the others.
