Sam

I'm Samantha Carpenter, but I prefer to be called Sam, and I just turned 25. I'm here to tell you all about my thrilling adventures.

So, let's begin. I was born in Woodsboro with my little sister, Tara Carpenter. She's now 19, almost 20. I live with my lovely parents, and they really are the best I could have in my life. I love them very much.

But it all went downhills when I was 13 and Tara was 8. I found something out, that just ruined my life. It was so confusing yet frustrating that no one told me about it.

I became what I never wanted to be... a monster? No, maybe worse. It all began at Christmas.

It was snowing and it was a chilly day. I picked Tara up after school. "Sam, can we play outside?" She asked with excitement. I thought for a moment, wondering if I had some homework to do or not. "If you finished your homework, we can play, okay?" I answered her question. She became all smiley, and we walked home, throwing each other snow already.

Coming home all giggly, our mom asked what was funny.

"We had fun in this weather! I love winter!" Shouted Tara.

"Oh! Mom! Can we play after I finish my homework? Please?" Tara begged her mom.

I smiled and joined Tara. "Me and Tara wanna play in the snow. Please mom? Please, please, please? Pretty please?" I made my puppy eyes and she couldn't resist it.

"Okay sweeties. But after you did your homework, okay?" She raised her eyebrows at us. "Yes, mom." And after that, Tara and I ran upstairs to finish our homework.

After a while, I heard a knock on my door. Tara peeked through the door. "Sam, can you help me? I don't understand this." So I stood up and went to help my little sister. She's too precious for this world. I want to protect her at all costs. I looked at her homework. It was quite easy for me to explain it to her. It was multiplication.

"Tara, look. I got 4 Apples. And if you multiply it two times, it will be 4 plus 4. What is 4 plus 4?" I tried to explain to her, which was a little hard because she wasn't that good.

"8?" She asked. I nodded and moved on to the next stage. "So when you multiply it three times, it'll be 4 plus 4 plus 4. You understand it so far?" I wasn't sure if I explained it well or not.

But if she still doesn't understand, I ask my mom if she can help her. But she understood my explanation. "Can we go and play now?" She asked after putting her school books in her backpack.

"Maybe we can call your friends to come over." Her face lit up in excitement. "Yes! Wes, Chad, Mindy, Liv and Amber can come over! We're gonna have so much fun!" I chuckled and went to the telephone.

I called all of her friends so no one got left out. After a while, they all came, already in their snowsuits. It looked cute. "Thank you for inviting our kids." Martha, mom of Chad and Mindy, thanked me.

My mom was baking some cookies for all of us, and it smelled so good. I also got ready to have fun in the snow. I love to babysit Tara's friends.

Wes cried because he didn't have his favorite pajamas. It was funny; everyone laughed. "Hey Sam!" Judy Hicks, police officer and Wes's mom greeted.

I flashed her a smile. "Judy, thanks for bringing Wes here." I thanked. "My pleasure, and he also needs to have some fun." She bid her goodbye and went back to her shift.
