I was already mesmerized when we arrived at Disneyland, grateful that we still had hours left to enjoy it. The moment we stepped inside the park I was going straight for the nearest store. I wanted to get Minnie Mouse ears to get the full experience. I just went with the classic ones with the red bow with white polka dots on it.

"Aren't you going to get one too," I asked Leo.

"I guess I could get this one," he commented, picking up the hat with Mickey Mouse ears.

"Okay, we'll go really good together that way," I beamed, us getting into line right away. I paid separately this time, proudly adjusting the headband onto my head. I felt myself smiling more when I saw Leo adorned with his headwear. "You look so good. What do you want to do first?"

"We can just walk around for awhile and see what comes up," he suggested, me nodding along to that. Once again he was taking my hand, and I was blushing bright red, but I had never been happier.

"Let's go on the Jolly Trolley," I said once it came into view.

"Alright." Leo was already following me as we got onto the mode of transportation. It basically went from one end of Toontown to the other, but I found it relaxing.

"It looks like the sky is finally clearing up." I sighed happily as I gazed upwards, the sun beginning to break through the clouds.

Leo and I didn't really talk during the slow ride, just stepping off once it was over.

"I'm already starting to get hungry," I giggled as we kept walking. We were just taking in all the surroundings of Toontown and the bright colors.

"You want to get a snack or go ahead and eat supper," he wondered as we kept moving across the damp ground.

"It's only afternoon, so I think I'd rather eat a meal later. A churro sounds really good."

"Alright. I think I'll get one too. I'm getting kind of hungry too." We found a cart fairly quickly, him paying for it before I could get my money out. I just let it slide, since I didn't want to argue and my tummy was rumbling. We sat in front of a grand fountain as we ate our treats, the light breeze ruffling my hair. "I'm starting to feel a little worn out. It just feels like we've been out for hours."

"We have been," he lowly chuckled. "You don't want to leave early, do you?"

"No way. I'm definitely staying until midnight. This sugar will probably give me energy in a minute anyway."

He nodded as he finished up his churro, me taking a little bit longer.

"Can we go on the King Arthur Carousel," I requested when we passed it.

"Yeah," he agreed, us able to secure a horse each right away.

"I love how beautiful their horses are. This was my favorite ride when I was little. I think it's because it reminded me of Mary Poppins. I always imagined my horse would go off the carousel and I could ride it through the park."

"They should make a ride like that," he spoke up as the ride whirred into gear.

"I always thought so."

"Did you know this ride is from the 50s? Most of the horses are older than that too."

"Wow, I never knew that. That makes it even more special."

"Yeah, it was one of the original opening day attractions," Leo added, causing me to smile more at his knowledge.

"What other rides were originally here," I curiously wondered as we went in circles, but my vision was only focused on his face.
