Chapter 51 - Emotions

Johns PoV

It's been a few hours since Mio fell asleep, the first time she does so in thirty years. Occasionally she would mutter something or panic in her sleep, however I would always calm her down by gently holding onto her hand. This would go on for another half an hour until she suddenly pulled me towards her, tightly hanging onto me while crying. Poor Mio... whatever happened thirty years ago really did a huge damage on her... dissolving the assault rifle, I returned the hug before slowly gently caressing Mio's head. As I do so, Mio stopped crying. Slowly loosens her grip in the process before sleeping peacefully again.

Mukuro: "John, are you okay?"

John: "I'm fine Mukuro, looks like Reine just had the same nightmare again. Whatever happened thirty years ago really traumatized her..."

Mukuro: "Humu... should Muku help you get out of her grips?"

John: "No, it's fine. You can go back to your game."

Mukuro: "Mun... if you say so..." Mukuro focuses her attention back to the game she is playing. I on the other hand continued to comfort Mio as she continues to sleep. This lasts for another hour as I felt Mio starting to stir a bit before she starts to slowly open her eyes, immediately making eye contact with me.

Reine: "Mun...?"

John: "Hey. Did you sleep well?"

Reine: "What are you doing beside me?"

John: "You kinda pulled me towards you when I tried to comfort you."

Reine: "I-I see... sorry."

John: "It's fine, as long as it helped you sleep."

I got off the bed as Mio slowly does the same. I helped her stand up afterwards.

John: "Do you feel better?"

Reine: "I feel much better now. Thank you Mun."

John: "No worries. Just take care of yourself more often okay?"

Reine: "Understood. What are you planning to do for today?"

John: "I'm going to take Mukuro out to eat now. She hasn't ate anything yet."

Reine: "Understood, if you need any assistance. You know who to contact."

John: "I understand. Thank you Reine." Giving me a smile, Mio leaves the room leaving me and Mukuro alone now.

John: "Okay Mukuro, lets go eat now."

Mukuro: "Mun... okay."

John: "Are there any places that suit your interests?"

Mukuro: "Muku don't mind any place you choose."

John: "Alright. I'll take you to a restaurant I normally go with my friends and family."

Mukuro: "Hoo... okay."

Leaving the guest room, the both of us make our way downstairs. As we do so, a familiar twin came out of her respective bedroom. Upon the sight of each other, we embraced each other before sharing a kiss, pulling away after. She then gave Mukuro a pat on the head afterwards.

Yuzuru: "Greetings, John and Mukuro."

John: "Hey Yuzuru."

Mukuro: "Hello, Yuzuru. Muku is glad to see you again."

Yuzuru: "Reply, the same goes for you. What are you both up to?"

John: "I'm taking Mukuro out to eat. Do you want to tag along? I'm sure Mukuro would be happy to have you around too."
