IVY WAS LAYING ON HER BED under her two blankets as she gripped her teddy bear tighter. "My dear," she heard Aro call from the door. She heard him closing the door and his footsteps coming closer to her bed. She felt the bed dip as he sat down near her. "I just talked to Caius."

"He apologizes," he said, making Ivy scoff.

"Well, you can tell the stupid vampire with the amazing hair that he can suck my dick," Ivy snapped.

She noticed that Aro was almost hesitant to touch her hand but gently grasped his cold hand to hers. He seemed like he was thinking for a moment before speaking again. "I'm positive that Daisy doesn't think any less of you."

Ivy sighed in frustration. "I was talking to Daisy and it was going really well. She even wanted to be my friend and tell he came and now she probably doesn't even want to talk to me."

"I doubt that. How could she not like you?" Aro asked. "You're brilliant, funny, smart."

"I don't think she will when she finds out about the things I have done," she mumbled in sadness. The girl seemed

"Daisy is more understanding than you think. After all, she is Caius' mate," he said jokingly.

"It doesn't matter," she mumbled but it was a lie. She was starting to feel like this place was her new home, where she didn't need to be careful around humans and skin contact. A place where people weren't afraid of her but Caius' reaction was proof that. He had thought that Ivy was going to hurt her.

"I bought a gift," he said and as soon as the words left his lips, she raised herself from the bed, now sitting.

"A gift?" she asked, making Aro smile at her reaction. He pulled something from his suit pocket as she waited, not so patiently. Revealing a delicate bracelet adorned with intricate patterns and shimmering gemstones. The bracelet sparkled in the dim light of the bedroom, casting a mesmerizing glow that seemed to dance with every movement.

"I love how it sparkles," she whispered and watched in wonder as Aro delicately fastened the bracelet around Ivy's wrist, his touch gentle yet purposeful. As his fingers brushed against her skin, a faint shiver of anticipation coursed through Ivy's veins, her pulse quickening with the closeness of their contact.

IVY WAS IN THE KITCHEN waiting for her noodles to boil with Renata. The Guard was warming up to her slowly. When she thought Ivy wasn't looking, she could see a hint of a smile on her lips. Her goal was to make the vampire laugh and she had a feeling she was getting closer.
