Twenty ~ So much to do

The time was flying by and the wedding was getting closer and closer. My mom and nana had flew out to go wedding dress shopping with me, Ran's mom also flew in. I tired on up to three hundred different dresses, I wanted something elegant but still a little poofy. I tried on this dress that was a corset at the top but then at the waist went out in to a long skirt. It had a lot of lace work on the corset and elegant lace work at the bottom of the skirt there were sleeves that came out so they were off the shoulder and had some volume to them.

I loved every part of this dress, and I believed that my family would too! My nana and my mom can be very opinionated and so I took a deep breath before walking out of the dressing room. I came out and stood on the pedestal and my mom, nana and his mom all opened their eyes at the same time.

"Oh my god, Y/N that is gorgeous!" My mom said

"That looks absolutely beautiful on you darling." His mom said

"I think this is the one!" My nana said smiling

"I'm in love with this dress!" I said beaming with joy

The assistant that was helping us came over to me and asked the question.

"Are we saying yes to the dress?" She asked

"I am saying yes to the dress!" I said

My mom, nana and his mom both started clapping they were so happy.

We had a meeting with the cater to figure out what we wanted to be in the menu. We had gotten an idea of what we both wanted, some food he loved and some food I loved. He loved sushi and any type of meat and I loved burgers. We were sat in an office waiting for the cater director to come in a discuss our menu.

"Hello! I'm Cindy, the cater director. Do we have an idea of what we would like on the menu?" She asked entering the room.

"Well, I think we for sure want sushi and burgers to be on the menu." Randy said

"Of course we could do that. What about appetizers and sides? Also do you want an open bar if so what kind of alcoholic beverages would you like?" She asked

"Uhm, definitely want an open bar, I want wine and Randy loves whiskey." I responded

"Fried pickles would be good for an appetizer as well as like cheese and crackers. I would like mac and cheese for a side. What about you babe?" Randy asked

"I want fries to go with the burgers also all of the toppings would be nice." I smiled

We talked about a couple of other aspects of the menu and finally we wrapped it up. The lady said that she would finalize a menu and email it to me.

The cake tasting was what I was looking forward to the most! I am a cake girl, Randy loves chocolate while I love vanilla so there would definitely be different flavors to every layer of the cake. We went in and tasted several different flavors of cake.

"So I was thinking having a vanilla layer for me and a chocolate layer for you but what about the third layer?" I asked Ran

"Hmm, the red velvet and lemon tasted the best." He replied

"Red velvet definitely was so good!" I said

We agreed on red velvet for the final layer, and told the baker that we wanted a white cake with lilac and sage flowers and me and Randy at the top while Apex at the bottom eating a tiny part of the cake.

I was having lunch with the four girls I wanted to be my bridesmaid. Little did they know I planned on going dress shopping for their dresses after lunch. I had got all the gifts together to ask them to be my bridesmaids. I sat at the table waiting for all of them to show up. Abby showed up first, the ten minutes later Anna and Faith showed up, while Elle of course showed up later.

"I have something for all of you." I said handing out the gifts to the right person.

Each one consisted of a wine tumbler with there names engraved on it, a scrunchie, a candle and a box of matches and a little plant that best fit their personality. They each started to unwrap and open the boxes. Abby's said on the inside of the lid 'will you be my maid of honor?' While the others all said 'will you be my bridesmaid?'. They all gasped when they opened the boxes. It was a mixed shouts of 'oh my god' 'of course' and 'YES!'. They all group hugged me.

"We will go dress shopping after lunch!" I said smiling

They all decided on elegant looking dresses that were all different but none that took away from me, they made sure to constantly remind me that they were not trying to take away from me and I had to constantly remind them that they wouldn't. Once they decided what type of dress they wanted, we ordered each dress in the right size and the right color. My bridesmaids would be wearing lilac dresses and Randy's groomsman would be wearing sage green ties and vest.

Randy wanted me to be there with him when he asked his best friends to be in the wedding. I had ordered them all boxes similar to how I asked my best friends. They each had a flash with their names on it, a lighter, some cigars and a cigar cutter. With the question on the inside of the lid. They all came over for a 'bro's night' while Randy had gotten the suit company to come out and do the measuring and trying on in the house. John, Kevin and Paul all made it on time while Matt was the late one. He asked Paul to be his best man and the other guys to be his groomsmen.

Of course the answer was yes from all of them. The fitting was much quicker than the girls were because all they cared about was watching sports afterwards and drinking beer or whiskey. We were getting closer and closer to the day and my anxiety was increasing with every passing day.
