Dream by NBA Youngboy played loudly in the background as I drilled my nails for prep. My hand twitched at the vibrations.

I had finally settled in to my apartment and revamped my nail room. I picked the larger room for my nail room so there'd be more space.

There was a secluded, indented area in a corner where I would keep all my supplies in plastic drawers. In the middle of the room, like the rest of the nail rooms I had before, sat my work table.

In the desk were simple things like brushes and alcohol but on my right side, there were new acrylic powders in plastic drawers.

I lined the ceiling with led lights and it was currently on hot pink. I had a ceiling light and fan but they were rarely on.

The window was cracked open since I couldn't stand the smell of the chemicals around me. On the opposite wall, I put a glowing hot pink 'Hello Gorgeous' sign for clients to see.

I had posted my booking calendar and I was already busy from the 7th to the 31. I had lots of time intervals ready, the commons one were 7am, 9am, 1pm, 4pm. I finished nail sets fast, 2 hours for any length.

"Gotta get that moola 'fore u end up onna tee." I rapped along, tapping my hand on the gem polish before unscrewing it, my nails clacking against each other.

I went for long and I decided to do regular french tips. I had a nude base and was picking up a white polish to do a deep frenchie.

My stomach grumbled as I did my perfected
french tip, smiling at my work. I filled it in with white polish and got started on the next nail.

After I finished my nails, I'd see if I was hungry before ordering food. These days, I had to remind myself to eat. I used to eat a lot as a kid and teenager, but for a long span of years I'd neglect my own hunger.

It was complicated. I thought it had something to do with the fear of throwing up and having bad digestive issues.

I could be hungry for a minute then just not. And I'd forget about eating until my stomach cramped up. I could eat one to three times a day.
