Tang...ina? Tumagilid ang ulo ko at nagkasalubong ang kilay.
Ayaw sa akin? Pero kapag si Deco, crush na crush? Kapag si Casper, nagmamadaling puntahan? Kapag iyong naglalakad na popcorn, ngiting-ngiti?!
Tapos sa akin, ayaw? Hindi in-accept ang friend request ko kasi ayaw ng babaerong mutual friend, pero si Lade, pwede? Binlock pa ako? What the hell?! Hindi naman halatang ayaw na ayaw sa akin 'no?!
"Tss! I'm just gonna prepare your fucking milk and sandwich first. Or would you like Casper's milk and abs instead?" I didn't hide the sarcasm in my voice.
He immediately looked at me because of what I said. I glared at him, while he laughed at my reaction. Subukan mong sumagot ng oo at—
"Oo. Pwede?"
My shoulders loosened. Tanginang Casper! Sana hindi masarap ang ulam niya ngayon. Sana may lumipad na ipis sa mukha niya habang nagshashower.
"Hindi," agad na sagot ko. "An ex is an ex. Hindi kana babalikan no'n kaya huwag ka nang magpakadelusional."
Tinalikuran ko siya at inasikaso si Killian sa kusina na nakatayo sa isang upuan, sa harap ng nakabukas na ref, at pinagtatapon lahat ng kape sa trashcan na halos mapuno na.
"And this, and this, and this," he kept chanting the same two words while tossing all the coffee sachets in the trashcan.
I prepared Kaede's milk and sandwich then placed it at the countertop when I heard his footsteps. Tinulak ko ang isang upuan gamit ang paa, bago ko nilapitan ang kapatid. Hinawakan ko ang upuang tinutungtungan nito para hindi siya mahulog.
"Baby, stop that. You're wasting food."
"I don't care! Let's throw all of these! You can't become bobo, kuya!" mangiyak-ngiyak niyang sabi.
Umawang ang labi ko. What the hell? Hindi naman ako bobo! Achiever nga ako since fetus palang! Memorize ko na ang periodic table habang nasa loob ako ng tyan ng nanay ko.
Napahawak ako ng batok at sinulyapan ko si Kaede na nakaupo na ro'n sa hinila kong upuan kanina. He was already holding the sandwich while sipping on the milk I prepared for him.
I watched how he smiled a bit right after tasting the milk I made. Binasa ko ang ibabang labi at napaiwas ng tingin.
"You can't get yourself a girlfriend if you became bobo, kuya! Girls doesn't settle for bare minimum boys! Girls likes smart men!"
Muli akong napatingin kay Kaede nang bigla itong umubo nang umubo. Kumunot ang noo ko. Kita na ngang mainit eh. Hindi man lang nag-iingat.
I took the tissue above the cabinets and slide it on the countertop, reaching his side, then went back to holding my younger brother or he might fell from the chair.
"And where did you know that girls likes smart men?"
"To my girl friend!" Killian answered, referring to Francheska. "She said that her pretty ate likes smart men! And she is too!"
He's becoming too close with that young lady huh? Should I be worried?
"Come here and eat," binuhat ko na si Killian pababa nang tumigil ito sa pagtapon ng kape.
I made him sit in the opposite side of Kaede and prepared his utensils. Upon seeing Kaede's milk, he requested for a glass of milk as well so I made one for him.
"Killian," I said in a warning voice when I saw him glaring at Kaede, with arms crossed, while the latter was innocently enjoying his sandwich.
Halos lumobo pa nga ang pisnge nito dahil panay ang kagat niya sa sandwich. Akala ko ba kumain na siya? Bakit parang mukha naman siyang gutom?
