" where are they?" Isla yelled.

" they'll come out any second now." I shouted back.

" These people really love volleyball, huh?" She asked.

" Looks like it." Madison chuckled and the girls started walking out and getting in position.

Everyone was cheering really loudly.

Before the referee blew the whistle, peréz looked up at us, smiled and waved. We all waved back and the game started. Madison wasn't playing today so she was with us.

About halfway through the game peréz just stopped. She was down on the floor, her arm covering her face and she was holding her knee.

" whats going on?" I asked, madison.

" I'm not sure." She said frantically.

But the game continued and no one helped her for about two minutes.

" Where are you going?" I asked madison.

" down." She said and ran down on the pitch.

I watched as madison sprinted towards isabella and all her teammates huddled around her.

" Is she okay?" Isla asked.

" I don't know." I confessed, trying not to worry.

                         Isabella

" isabella?" A familiar voice shook me lightly.

My knee was hurting so bad, I couldn't breath properly.

" Please get up." I reckognized the voice as madisons.

The crowd was quiet. Dead silent.

Coach came running over to me but I just couldn't do it.

" Peréz?" She said, but I couldn't reply.
I couldn't breath nor talk. My knee was throbbing and my head was spinning.

" Don't die on me bitch." Madison whispered.

" Hernandez!" Coach exclaimed.

" sorry."

I couldn't hear anthing properly anymore.

" let's get you off the ground." Coach groaned.

I felt them pick me up, their arms around my waist.

" you're doing good." Someone slurred.

I blinked away my tears and did what I think was limp. Another fucking injury and I haven't even healed propperly from the last one. I just wanted to sob.

The knot in my stomache pulled tighter and I wanted to throw up.

" madison?" I managed to say.

I couldn't say anything else, all I could do was gasp for air and cough.

                           Pablo

" calm down." Isla instructed as she showed me some breathing exercises she learned in therapy.

" good." She patted my shoulder and gave me a warm smile.

" you're doing good." She said calmly.
