TEMPEST POV

My eyes slowly shifted from the beautiful sculpted textured ceiling to the digital alarm clock nestled on my nightstand, my mind calculating military time acknowledging that it's six-thirty in the morning. Having even more time before the alarm go off and I have to get ready for breakfast. Despite wanting to go back to sleep but unsuccessful since I've caught up on enough sleep.

Taking a deep breath, I extend my arm from under the cover, reaching my hand out to grab the remote for the TV and the curtains, my fingers brushed against the cool surface. With a soft press of the button on the remote control, I watch as the curtains gracefully glided a part, allowing the morning sunlight to invite itself into my room.

Casting a soft, golden glow across every surface. From the cocoon of my bed, I continued to peer out of the tall, elegant window, watching as the world outside began to brighten up introducing the beginning of another day.

My eyes focus on the breathtaking sunrise, enthralled by the stunning beauty of the sunrise, captivated by the sky, adorned with its mesmerizing display of warm, radiant hues as the sun steadily continued its ascent, painting the world in a gradient of colors.

I peel back the soft, white covers, feeling the sensation of the cool air from the air conditioning as it brushed over my skin, eliciting a delightful shiver that ran down my spine and caused me to lightly tremble. Swinging my legs out of bed, feeling them dangle just a few centimeters from the floor, the height of the bed giving me a sense of floating.

Sliding more towards the edge of the bed, I allowed my bare feet to sink into the plush, welcoming texture of the rug beneath. With a luxurious stretch, I felt every muscle in my body come alive and awaken to the dawning day. A morning yawn escaped my lips as the bright sun outside my window greeted me, coaxing me fully awake. Finally standing up from the bed, I walked towards the expansive window, letting my eyes wander over the richness of the scenery outside, taking in every detail that the morning sun revealed.

In the distance, tall trees covered the land, and the more I tried to focus on each one, the farther they seemed, their outlines blurring into the horizon. The sun's rays seemed to make the landscape emanate a serene, enchanting glow, casting a magical light on the lush greenery.

It's all undeniably beautiful and yet I feel numb. No stirring emotions, no racing thoughts, just a still, disconcerting silence and numbness.

Feeling like I'm in the midst of a random mid-life crisis, or maybe I'm just yearning for a breakthrough. Something to get me out of this never-ending cycle: going to breakfast then the technology room, being in the technology room until dinner, going to dinner, then back to the technology room until I eventually get so tired I can not function until I come and sleep, then the cycle starts all back over again.

Doing that for six days a week not including Saturday, with nothing to enjoy outside of this. Seeing the same damn people every single got damn day has me going stir crazy. I don't see how people could do solitary confinement, to be limit in doing the same shit every single day.

The blaring sound of the alarm jolted me out of my trance alerting me that my quiet morning is coming to an end and I must prepare for breakfast. Inhaling deeply, I walked away from the window and over to the night stand immediately pressing the stop button on the digital alarm clock putting an end to the jarring noise.

Beginning to tidy up my bed as today I decide that it's time I stop being inconsistent with the Technology building as after Monday conversation with Mr.Galileli, I went to dinner but did not return back to the Technology building. I skipped Tuesday and today is Wednesday.

I haven't talked to Romeo and I actually feel bad for the way I snapped at him. None of this has anything to do with him and yet he was the person that got burned from my fire. I'm sure part of the reason why I haven't seen him is because I nearly scared him and had him thinking he was about to witness my death. I mean, close enough, I definitely was and would have scarred him.
