1. ENCOURAGEMENT

Beomgyu had just finished his practice session, feeling the familiar satisfaction of a job well done. The other members had already left, leaving the building quiet. As he gathered his belongings and made his way to the exit, a soft sound caught his attention. He paused, listening intently. Was that crying?

Curiosity and concern tugged at him as he approached the source of the sound. It led him to the dance practice room for trainees. The door was slightly ajar, and the muffled sobs became clearer. Beomgyu hesitated for a moment before peeking inside.

"Hello? Is someone here?" he called gently, stepping into the room. The crying grew louder, and his heart ached at the sound. In the corner, he spotted a girl huddled and sobbing uncontrollably. His protective instincts kicked in, and he hurried to her side, kneeling down to her level.

"Hey, hey. What's wrong? Why are you crying?" he asked softly, trying to catch her gaze. She didn't respond, her sobs only intensifying. "It's fine. Don't worry. Please stop crying," he pleaded, holding her hands in his, hoping to offer some comfort.

"I can't do this. I can't do this anymore," she choked out between sobs, her despair palpable.

"Shh. Everything will be fine, okay? Just calm down," Beomgyu whispered, his heart breaking for her. "Nothing is going well! Nothing is going well!" she cried, her anguish spilling over. Without warning, she threw herself into his arms, clinging to him tightly. He sighed, understanding her pain all too well. He had been through this, and so had his members. They had only each other back then, and now, it was his turn to help.

"I wanna go home. I miss mom," she whispered, her voice trembling.

"It's okay. You will get through this. Don't give up," Beomgyu reassured her, holding her close. Gradually, her sobs subsided, and she pulled away, wiping her tears. "Do you feel better?" he asked, offering a small smile. She nodded, sniffling.

He pulled out his handkerchief and offered it to her. "Here, take this."

"N-no. I can't take it," she stammered, hesitating.

"It's alright. Just take it," he insisted gently. She took it with a small nod, dabbing at her tears.

"I think you should go home and rest," Beomgyu suggested, helping her to her feet. She nodded again, and they walked out together. "I-I am really sorry for troubling you," she said, bowing slightly.

"Oh no, it's all good. Don't worry," Beomgyu responded quickly. "Do you want to go to the convenience store?"

"I-I don't have enough money. I only have money for the bus," she replied, looking down.

"It's okay, I'll get it for you," he said with a reassuring smile.

"Oh please no, you already did so much and I already troubled you—" she began, but Beomgyu cut her off.

"Don't worry about it. Trust me. Please. It's my treat," he insisted. After much persuasion, she finally agreed.

At the convenience store, Beomgyu bought two triangle kimbap and two ice creams. They found a spot to sit together, and he handed her one of the kimbap. "Here you go."

"Thank you," she said softly, managing a small smile. They took their first bites in comfortable silence. "What's your name, by the way?" Beomgyu asked.

"O-oh. Yuri. Shin Yuri," she replied.

"How long have you been training?" he inquired.

"Ten months," she said, a hint of pride in her voice.
