The next time they entered the hall together, Rohit and Virat contrasted wearing light and dark green kurtas, both easily being the hottest couple in the room.

Taking their place at the centre, Virat and Rohit sat side-by-side, feeling the heat emanating from each other. Each smiled at one another happily and the artist took Virat's palms in her own.

Rohit sat in anticipation when the sangeet ceremony started as well. Various couples and single boys and girls took to the floor, dancing and enjoying their hearts out.

Manika, Ambalika and Anila were busy with their own hands getting hennaed and Virat let himself relax a bit.

Rohit and Virat's eyes met, and both sighed in contentment.

The mehendi artist wrote a big 'Rohit' on Virat's palm and decorated it beautifully with floral designs around it.

Silently, Rohit got a similar 'V' drawn on his left palm.

Both of them were done soon and lifted their hands to admire the designs. Rohit felt quite proud seeing his name on Virat's hand while Virat felt overwhelmed at his initial shining on Rohit's. Seeing his name there made things too real for Virat, and his emotions felt too overwhelming.

Rohit smiled at Virat, and Virat smiled back.

It was finally the big day. The day when Virat and Rohit would get married. The day when two lives would get entwined forever. When Virat would turn Virat Rohit Sharma from Virat Kohli.

They had all unanimously decided on the wedding theme to be red and silver.

Virat touched the soft fabric of his red sherwani. He got up and took out various photographs and placed them in front of him. Touching each photograph once, Virat smiled sadly.

"Mumma, Papa, Pa, Dad, today is my wedding. Your cheeku's wedding, Dad. Today I think I'm going to marry a man who is so beautiful inside and out, I feel you sent him for me, guys. His name is Rohit. He behaves like he's falling in love deeply with me but can he, really?" Virat chuckled softly, wiping away a lone tear, "I guess I'm lucky I'm going to marry him."

He stared at the photographs of all his deceased parents that lay in front of him. He'd met two out of the four. He remembered how his adoptive dad had given him the nickname Cheeku. After him, no one had ever called him that and suddenly, Virat missed them too much.

"I wish you guys were here," Virat whispered after a while, kissed each photograph, silently asking for their blessings and kept them inside a box once again and went to get ready for the big day.

On the other side, Rohit entered the banquet hall with his baarat dancing behind him. Again, Rohit noticed the elegant red and silver decorations of the hall and admired the hard work put behind it.

This was for him, for them. Him and Virat. Thinking of Virat made his heavy heart lighten just a little. Rohit sighed and looked around at the happy guests. He went to sit at the designated place for the grooms, a Panditji already present in front of him.

Slowly, Rohit's thoughts moved to what he was doing earlier.

Flashback

Rohit took his phone out and tapped on his favourite picture. His Maa. Rohit kissed the photograph.

"Hey Maa, sorry I've been so busy these days, didn't even talk with you. You know, maa aaj mera vo hai. With Virat. Remember Maa I showed you his photograph?" Rohit exhaled heavily. "Why aren't you here mumma? I wish you were here. I didn't want to marry, you know na but Mumma Vi..he's...he's so adorable and so pretty, I swear I'm gonna fall for him soon. I'll always take care of him, Maa. I wish you were here, and he'd get to know you and you him yaar. Khair mai vo nhi hona chahta, uh, senti toh please bless me mumma?" Rohit once again kissed his screen. "I miss you, Maa, so much."

Rohit was brought back to the present by Panditji, announcing the arrival of the other groom.

Rohit turned his gaze towards the stairs and felt his lips stretch into a smile. Virat descended the stairs slowly, his gaze as usual downward, clad in a red sherwani contrasting with his burgundy one. Virat always resembled a cute puppy to Rohit. The way he talked, the way he moved his big eyes, the way he laughed, and the way he blushed all reminded Rohit of a puppy, but seeing him in the wedding attire, Rohit felt his heart skip a beat.

Virat looked graceful and elegant. He looked as if he were never meant to be a human but an angel.

Rohit swore he almost fainted when Virat looked up at him. Unable to control himself, Rohit smiled softly at the second groom. Virat, too, returned the sentiment and finally sat beside Rohit, and the wedding rituals finally started.

Pandit ji continued to chant the mantras when Rohit bent down towards Virat.

"Do you plan to kill your husband before marrying only, Vi?" He whispered to Virat.

"What are you talking about?" Virat asked in alarm. Why would he ever wish ill upon Rohit?!

Rohit gave him a naughty smile and shrugged. "Your fault you look prettier than angels that I could literally just die right now."

Virat's cheeks turned became bright red in embarrassment. He fake glared at Rohit as he heard him chuckling beside him.

"Aage aisa kabhi mat bolna aap," he warned Rohit.

"Kyu? Tumko ab compliment bhi nhi de sakta?" Rohit asked with a pout.

Virat rolled his eyes.

"Marne-maarne ki baat, Rohitji! Especially apne! Promise kijiye!" Virat demanded.

Rohit grinned cheekily. "I promise Vi."

"Yajmaan kripya apna haath inke haath ke neeche rakhein," Pandit ji suddenly instructed the grooms, bringing their conversation to an abrupt end. Virat kept his hand under Rohit's and Pandit ji gave them a flower that needed to be devoted to the gods as an offering.

And so the rituals continued.

Finally, after two hours, Virat and Rohit were married.

They were hitched and became one heart, two souls.

Finally, Virat had become Virat Rohit Sharma.

Finally, they had signed the marriage certificate.

Finally, Manika was relieved of her burden.

Finally, Ambalika and Anila felt they were two steps ahead in their plan.

Finally, Virat got someone who didn't hate him.

Rohit looked at Virat.

Finally, Rohit had got his everything.
