this is a new chapter. and chapter five is original but it's been extended with new events
The only thing Analise loved more than cars was art. Each day of the week, she indulged in the things she loved. During weekdays she worked for Clarence, working on cars and painting them. On the weekends, she taught art classes at the local recreational center for kids and adults. Not only did Analise spend each day doing the things she loved, she got away from Jordan at least for a few hours.
Today, he seemed to be in a good mood, but Analise wasn't sure how he'd feel by time she got back home. That was the difficult part about their relationship. She never knew what kind of mood Jordan would be in. His emotions changed at the drop of a dime, leaving her to calculate her every word and action when around him. The only thing she could do was pray each time she stepped foot in the house or turned to look at him in the morning.
Analise loved the version of Jordan she painted on a canvas or scribbled in her notebook. That version of Jordan didn't hurl insults at her, bruise her body, or make her feel worthless. He stared at her with warm eyes, a smile, and reminded her of the man she first fell in love with. The person she spent each day with, she wasn't sure who that was. However, the man in her art was her real true love who only came to life sometimes.
Today was one of those days. When Jordan was in a good mood, it allowed Analise to be in one as well. She pranced around the art studio in the rec center with a smile on her face while she prepped for her class and talked to her best friend, Rae'Lynn, on FaceTime.
"What's new with you these days?" Rae'Lynn asked.
"Nothing much. I already told you Clarence's son is working at the shop. Yesterday Clarence made me drive him around to show him around town. During the ride, his energy seemed fine, but it just shifted suddenly. He ended up cancelling the rest of the tour, saying we could reschedule for later. I tried not to take his attitude to offense, but damn," Analise explained while she placed blank canvases on the easels around the room.
"Probably got a bad message or something."
"Yeah, probably." Analise shrugged. "He's just such a mystery. It's frustrating kind of. Like you remember how we saw him kissing that girl at the party?"
