Connor still couldn't believe his fight against Abomination or rather how during that time, he was somehow able to use his heat vision against the green scaled brute alas when he had tried to use it again against some soda cans; yet nothing had happened which seemed to seriously suck because he thought it was going to be a permanent thing
Nonetheless after his speedy recovery mainly thanks to those wonderful genes of his, he had said his goodbyes to Atlee who was sad to see him go but knew her time up in the Watchtower was going to be over very soon; she was more than ready to work with the others that Connor had talked about quite frequently while in recovery and now Connor found himself looking over Metroplis with the location of the traveler nearby
He honestly didn't know if the traveler was man or woman, hero or villain from who knows where but he had to take a gamble in these type of situations and he was more than strong enough to take this person if things took a turn for the worst; he still had those points to use and this point he was considering going for the strength boost
Sure it was only temporary but certain situations this kind of temporary strength is what would change the outcome of the fight; Connor had surmised that adding more points to it would eventually make into a permanent feature and that would be a massive advantage, Connor puts those thoughts aside as he feels the map redirect him into an alleyway where it definitely didn't seem suspicious whatsoever
"I swear, I better not get jumped by whoever you are"
He says mainly indicating about the traveler who was hopefully a good person, Connor makes his way into the alleyway as he focuses and hears a faint yet steady heartbeat; the traveler was very close and most likely watching him from a distance as he called this person out
"I know you're out here. I'm not looking for a fight, all I want to do is talk to you"
If he could talk to the traveler without resorting to them fighting then Connor would gladly take that risk; it was better to questions answered more peacefully than recklessly getting into a fight that will result into innocent people getting hurt because of it, Connor sees a shadow above him as that shadow jumps and lands in front of him as the first he notices that is someone dressed like a spider of some kind

Although you couldn't see it but the second he recognized who this person was, he was mentally losing his shit. He wasn't an idiot that was obvious before his reincarnation he had seen Beyond the Spider-Verse; so seeing Spider-Woman here meant that she was the traveler and was here for who knows what reasons
