practicing for your first duo stage since going public (requested)

"Ready, girls?" A staff member for the MMA awards asked as you and Yujin stood on the stage together.

Today, you're practicing together for the duo stage that you'll perform during the award show.

This isn't the first one you've done together but it is the first one you're doing since your relationship went public a couple of weeks ago.

You've always loved doing duo stages especially with Yujin.

You and Yujin have done two of them together and it seems like everyone loves them since different award shows always ask you and Yujin to do them together and the fans of both your group and hers always go crazy over them.

The first one you did with Yujin, you probably seemed nervous while doing it and that's because you truly were.

You and Yujin had this spark and chemistry that neither of you could ignore and there had been a lot of flirting between you before that stage was live.

The second one you did, which took place last year, was much more relaxed.

Because you and Yujin were getting pretty close and a little cozy together.

You had confessed your feelings for each other but at the time, you weren't officially dating.

You were just close friends and seeing where things went with each other.

This time around, you're officially dating.

You've been together since the beginning of the year, so almost a full year now.

But things have been very private between you... until a couple of weeks ago when you had no choice but to go public as people had been theorizing for a while that you were together and it became all anyone could talk about.

So, for this year's melon music awards, you're much more at ease with each other.

Perhaps a little too at ease.

Because as you and Yujin began to practice for the duo stage, you were pretty lovey-dovey.

During your parts, she'd come up behind you, wrap you in her arms, and kiss your cheek several times.

During her parts, you held her hand and kissed it a few times before she came over and took your hand to spin you around.

You laughed happily as she did so, completely missing a couple of your lines.

"Stop!" One of the staff members said and the music came to a halt.

You and Yujin looked at each other before giggling.

"Is there a problem?" Yujin kindly asked.

"Well, girls, listen. I know you're dating and you're very smitten with each other but we need to stay focused and practice. The awards show is just a couple of weeks away. You must keep practicing."

"Okay." You said and the staff member walked off the stage before the music started up again.

You and Yujin tried so hard to stay focused.

You truly did because you knew the staff member was right - this was very important.

But at the same time, it was so hard to do because you weren't just smitten with each other - you were truly so in love.

After almost a year together, smitten is far from the right word to use to express your feelings for each other.

It was love; true love, a love that would last a lifetime.

So as hard as you and Yujin tried, you couldn't stay away from each other and you couldn't help but be loving with each other.

"Okay, take a short break, girls." The staff member said as the song came to an end a couple of moments later.

As you practiced that time around, you were stealing glances and holding onto each other.

"Think we're in trouble?" You playfully asked your girlfriend.

"Maybe but they should've known when they asked us back this time around that things would be different. We were public already. Do they expect us to stand on the stage and practice without being lovey-dovey with each other?" Yujin asked.

"Good point."

She wrapped you in her arms and you set your cheek on her shoulder as your eyes closed.

You love holding and being held by her.

Her arms are so safe and warm and her hugs bring you so much comfort and peace.

"I love you."

"I love you too." You said and kissed her shoulder.

You knew there were eyes on you from other staff members but you didn't care at all.

All you wanted was to hold her forever.

Lifting your head from her shoulder, you leaned in and stole a few kisses from her lips.

Wrapping your arms around her neck, she smiled against your lips and pulled you a little closer and you continued to kiss.

"Are you girls ready to get back to practicing?" Another staff member asked.

"In a minute," Yujin replied as she pulled away from your lips and put her head on yours as you just swayed back and forth lovingly.

The staff member just nodded with a smile and walked away, letting you and Yujin have a moment together.

"It's a good thing they have a couple of weeks for practice." One staff member said to the other as they watched you and Yujin.

"They're very in love. What do you expect?"

You kissed Yujin's skin softly, so in love.

"I don't ever want to let you go," Yujin whispered.

"Then don't." You said back to her.

Yujin just smiled and kissed your head once more, wishing she could stop time so you two could stay like this forever.

But she couldn't, so the rest of the world was going to have to wait a little while.

For now, you two were too caught up in each other to focus on anything else.

You would get back to practice again soon because you take your jobs as idols very seriously.

But you had a little time and until then, you were going to stay just like this.
