It was finally family day. A day Claire was so looking forwards to days ago and was now dreading.
Since students of Auradon were gossipers and Ben wasn't very subtle about his feelings for Mal. The news about the break up between Ben and Claire had spread like wildfire. In a few hours everyone that attended Auradon knew and now it was only a matter of time before all their parents knew too.
Claire was really hoping everyone would magically forget about her or that Ben broke up with her for the day. She didn't what her parents it find out, mainly her mother.
She was ninety-nine percent sure that her mother and Ben's mom, Bell had a shared binder full of wedding ideas.
Beautiful planning all gone to waste.
Apparently Ben didn't share the same dredging feeling as Claire did about share the news, at least he didn't act like it.
Although it seemed to Claire Ben didn't feel the same, he did. He didn't wanna cause a fuss by telling his parents that he broke up with the girl they saw as their future daughter in law and take all the heat for it when he knew everything they would say he felt strongly about too. But in order to make Mal believe he was still under the spell he knew he had to.
Wanting to get the news over with, Ben thought it'd be a great idea to tell them as he took a picture with his parents after he and some of the other students of Auradon welcome everyone for family day.
Ben looked to his father first, "Oh. By the way, I have a new girlfriend."
"I'm sorry," Belle said as if she miss heard him which she hoped she did, "new girlfriend?"
"Yep, thats right."
"What happened with Claire? I love Claire," Belle almost pouted. She really did love that girl. "I'll talk to her, maybe you two can figure something out."
"No, mom," Ben shut down the idea. "That won't be necessary."
"But Claire is perfect."
"She is," Ben muttered. "But I have a new girlfriend now."
"Do we know your girlfriend?" The beast asked intrigued. He too, like his wife thought Claire was perfect for his son. After all she put up with him.
