Lauren woke up the next morning when she felt Wolf rubbing his face against hers, making the green eyed girl crinkle her nose and blink her eyes open in confusion. She laughed softly, rolling over and coming face to face with a sleeping Camila. Her lips curved into a smile when she saw the smaller girl's nose twitch slightly.

She reached out, cupping Camila's cheek and running her thumb over the girl's smooth skin. Studying the girl's peaceful face, Lauren moved her hand up to comb her fingers through her girlfriend's hair.

She pulled away when the girl's eyes fluttered open. Camila whimpered, giving Lauren a sleepy smile and reaching out to move the green eyed girl's hand back to her hair. Lauren couldn't help but laugh when Camila sighed contently and sank back down into her pillow.

"M'not gonna play with your hair all morning," Lauren whispered, making Camila laugh softly. The small girl opened her eyes once more, reaching up to cover her mouth before yawning softly. She rolled onto her back, staring up at the ceiling and humming contently.

"How'd you sleep?" Lauren asked, scooting next to her and draping her arm across the smaller girl's stomach. Camila giggled and turned her head to look at Lauren, who crinkled her nose playfully.

"Really good," Camila admitted, her cheeks turning slightly red. Lauren raised an eyebrow at her.

"Yeah?" the green eyed girl laughed. She lifted her head, planting a kiss to Camila's temple. "And why was that?" What Lauren had intended as a playful question instead caused Camila to sit up slightly, furrowing her eyebrows in thought.

"I sleep a lot better now," Camila nodded softly, pursing her lips. "I think... I think it is because I feel... safe. Or comforted. I can not explain it. It is like with you, nothing can hurt me. So when I sleep, there are no worries to keep me awake. Does that make sense?"

Lauren couldn't wipe the smile from her face, because it was the exact same way that she felt. "It makes perfect sense," she smiled. Just as she was about to lay her head back down, both girls' attention was caught by the sound of meowing coming from the doorway. Camila giggled when Lauren groaned, sitting up and facing the culprit, who impatiently pawed at the carpet in front of him.

"You're worse than Camila when it comes to food," Lauren muttered. The small girl beside her huffed, sitting up and giving her girlfriend a playful glare.

"Okay, fine, make me feed the child," Lauren teased, crinkling her nose at Camila before swinging her legs off the bed and following an eager Wolf into the kitchen.

"You just have to have your food, don't you?" Lauren mumbled, looking at the cat who sat perched expectantly on the counter. The green eyed girl laughed to herself as she placed his bowl in front of him.

Lauren took a few minutes to make herself a cup of coffee, leaning against the counter and gazing out the window.

She used to hate mornings. But when she met Camila, it was practically impossible to sleep in with the energetic girl constantly getting into trouble. And then, she found herself growing to love mornings. She loved the peaceful silence. It was like a new beginning each time, setting the tone for the rest of her day. And mornings were always wonderful with Camila by her side.

She wasn't even surprised when she heard soft footsteps behind her, feeling a pair of small arms wrap around her waist. Camila laid her head in the crook of Lauren's neck, humming softly. Lauren couldn't help but set her coffee down and spin around so she could place her hands on the smaller girl's shoulders.

"We're getting married," Lauren whispered, watching as Camila's eyes glimmered in the golden sunlight streaming in through the windows. "I'd kiss you but I need to brush my teeth," she added with a soft giggle.
