Evelyn peered down at the pamphlet once more before looking back at the spacious college venue.

She squinted at the red caps and looked for any distinctive feature Maila might have so she can distinguish her from the crowd, but none showed.

Luckily, her and Maila's last names began with a B so she'd be called sometime soon, seeing as the graduation had already started.

She glanced to the side, where Christian watched the graduation ceremony with boredom, his jaw resting on his wrist.

He wore an expensive personally tailored suit and red bottoms. He'd also been going to the gym and had put on some muscle. Evelyn thought it was extremely attractive. She grinned at the sight.

Evelyn wore a simple white dress and Louboutins gifted to her by Christian. In her hand was Maila's graduation gift, a mix of things given to her by Christian and Evelyn and red roses to match her dress.

She looked down to see Albertoe slumped in his hands. She shook her head with a smile before looking back up.

She glanced back at Maila's name and back at the principal, who was currently giving her speech.

"She gotta hurry up, I wanna go." Christian told Evelyn with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Not until we get to Z." Evelyn declared.

She didn't know whether their parents came or not, they didn't come to her graduation. If they did the same to Maila, she refused to do it also.

She was planted to the front row graduation seats until it finished or Maila decided to walk out.

"You serious? It's like 1,000 names on here." He complained. She cut him a glance and he closed his mouth with an ashamed expression.

"I'm just sayin dude." He muttered.

"If Mai gets up to go—

"How come she get a nickname but I don't?"

"You do, I got some for you."

"Naw not for me, I'm talkin bout for you. She get Eva. Trey do too but I don't got nun."

She pondered for a while. "Just call me Eva too."

"Ian callin you nothin Trey call you."

Evelyn laughed as she shook her head. While the situation was years old and it had been cleared up, Christian was not letting it go.

Even Trey had apologized for his actions but Christian wouldn't accept it. Evelyn had a feeling he was gonna hold on to the grudge for a while more.

"You already got Mama and ma." She reasoned.
