You woke up on Monday morning with a huge grin on your face, excitement bubbling inside you.

The memories of your date with Taehyung on Saturday played like a highlight reel in your mind.

You could still feel the warmth of his kiss on your lips, a moment you had eagerly shared with Mia. You couldn't wait to see him again at school.

As you walked into the bustling hallways of your school, your eyes scanned the crowd, searching for him.

There he was, leaning casually against a locker, chatting with his friends. You felt your heartbeat quicken as you approached him.

"Hi, Taehyung!" you called out, your voice filled with enthusiasm.

But he didn't respond.

He didn't even look your way. You told yourself he must not have heard you and continued to your first class with a hopeful heart.

Throughout the morning, you kept an eye out for any chance to talk to him.

But every time you saw him, he seemed distant, almost as if you were invisible. You tried to catch his eye, but he never looked your way.

Confusion started to creep in, but you pushed it aside, convincing yourself that there must be a reason.

When lunchtime finally arrived, you made your way to the cafeteria, eager to share your concerns with Mia. She listened intently as you recounted the morning's events.

"I don't get it, Mia. He was so sweet on Saturday, but today he's acting like I don't exist," you sigh, frustrated and hurt.

Mia gave you a reassuring smile. "Maybe he's just having a bad day. You know how guys can be sometimes. Just ignore it for now and see how things go," she advised, her tone supportive.

You nodded, trying to take her words to heart. But as the day went on, Taehyung's cold shoulder didn't change.

By the time the final bell rang, you felt a mix of disappointment and confusion.

You had looked forward to seeing him all weekend, but now you were left with more questions than answers.

As you walked home, you replayed the date in your mind, searching for any signs that things might have gone wrong.

But all you could remember was how perfect it had seemed, how genuine his smile had been, and the way his kiss had made you feel. You couldn't understand why he was acting this way.

That evening, you decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe Mia was right. Maybe he was just having a bad day. You decided to give it some time and see if things improved.

After all, you had kissed. That had to mean something—right?

The next day at school, you were determined to keep your spirits up.

You greeted Taehyung again, but his response was the same—nothing. As the days passed this continued, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal.

It was becoming clear that the Taehyung you had gone on a date with was not the same one you saw at school.

You confided in Mia again, expressing your doubts and fears. "I don't understand, Mia. Why would he ask me out if he was just going to ignore me afterwards?" you asked, your voice tinged with sadness.

Mia hugged you tightly.

"Some people just like the chase, Y/N. They enjoy the thrill of getting someone to like them, but once they do, they lose interest. It's not fair, and it's not right, but it happens," she explained gently.

You sighed, realizing that she might be right. It was a hard pill to swallow, but you knew you had to move on.

You couldn't let Taehyung's behavior define your self-worth. You were better than that.

You watch as Taehyung walks down the hallway, laughing with the most popular girl in school.

They seem so carefree and happy. You feel a mix of emotions swirling inside you—curiosity, and hint of jealousy.

It's hard to look away, but you can't help but wonder what this means for you guys moving foward.

As they walk past you, you catch snippets of their conversation, their voices filled with excitement and joy.

You try to shake off the uneasy feeling, reminding yourself of the anticipation and happiness you felt when you told Mia about your plans with Taehyung.

But seeing him with her makes you question everything. Are you reading too much into it? Or is there something more between them?

You take a deep breath, trying to steady your emotions. You know you need to focus on your own feelings and the excitement of meeting Taehyung.

After all, Mia was so supportive and enthusiastic about your plans. You can't let this moment of doubt overshadow the happiness you've been looking forward to.

After school, you muster up the courage to call Taehyung. Your hand trembles slightly as you dial his number, hoping to keep things light despite the unease you felt earlier.

He didn't answer. Hours pass with no response, and your anxiety grows with each passing minute.

You keep checking your phone, hoping for a call back, but it remains silent.

Six hours later, your phone finally rings. You grab it eagerly, excited to finally hear his voice.

"Hey Taehyung! I've been looking forward to talking to you all day!" you say, a little to excitingly.

"Why?" his voice is bland, almost like he regrets calling you back.

"Well we haven't talked since our date and—"

"Look," he cuts you off. "I was just messing around, this whole thing was a dare. Did you really think I was interested in you?"

The shock and pain hit you like a massive wave. You clutch the phone, unable to process the cruelty of his words.

You manage to whisper, "Why would you do that to me?"

There's a pause before he responded, "I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings."

Tears stream down your face as you struggle to find your voice.

"You can't just play with my feelings like that, what is wrong with you," you ask, your voice breaking.

He sighs, "It was just a joke, don't take it to heart."

You hang up, feeling a mix of anger and heartbreak.

You can't believe that someone you looked forward to spending time with could say something so hurtful.

You can't hold back the tears as you call Mia, your voice breaking as you tell her what happened.

Between sobs, you explain Taehyung's cruel words.

Mia listens patiently, her voice filled with concern and empathy.

"I'm coming over right now," she says firmly. "We can eat snacks and watch movies together. You don't deserve to go through this alone."

Soon enough, Mia arrives with your favorite ice cream and a stack of feel-good movies.

You spend the evening wrapped in blankets and sharing your feelings.

"Thank you, Mia, you truly are the best," you say, your voice filled with gratitude.

"I know I am," Mia responds with a grin.

You playfully hit her on the arm, then both burst into laughter.
