Jellal doesn't make friends as quickly as the rest of his guildmates.

The very first group of friends he's ever had were treated as pawns, and later on, after reflecting and healing, clearly it'll take some years til he regains their trust.

The second group of friends were just acquaintances, and shortly after, he had taken a soft spot for them while in Crime Sorcerer. Their friendship was still intact after they all went their split ways from their independent guild.

Soon, he found himself a Fairy Tail member and surrounded by friends instantly because that's how wizard guilds work. He's taken his own pace at being friendly with everyone besides all he knew personally (Erza, Natsu, Lucy, the usual). He knows everyone from investigation, sure, but it takes so much more work befriending them entirely. He's been caught complaining a good few times by Erza.

Gradually, he came to be close friends with Levy as they both enjoy reading books, Freed also reads and they've bonded with Jellal's knowledge on magic that can be used to help advance Freed's demon-like magic, Laxus....They're not what he'd expect as they pick on each other and have random beef for no reason but it never got physical like Gray and Natsu. It's more verbal with no shouting but still quite mean but in a joking way. So that's him and Laxus. Then there's Kinana, Erik's girlfriend, who fills him in with job descriptions like how Mirajane does for everyone. Kinana just ended up assisting her, and she naturally found herself beside Jellal whenever he'd pick up a job to do. Perhaps due to his connections with Erik, she wanted to be of use to him. He appriciates her anyway.

Surprisingly, at first, Panther Lily had an instant liking to him. When the curiosity was too much in the end and he asked, Lily revealed his relationship with Mystogan; the Jellal of Edolas. It was no surprise from then on whenever he'd wish to accompany him sometimes. Especially whenever Gajeel and Levy were busy living domestically and that one time they asked of him to not help with their kid (as Lily is more experienced with raising a child, once again, bc of Mystogan). So Lily would join Jellal on jobs on those occasions.

It's still quite difficult to get along with the others, tho. He's trying. Keyword: trying.

Jellal can't help but be socially awkward, okay. He still walks to the guild with his girlfriend due to his anxiety now that he's literally in Fairy Tail. It still feels like an illusion, having the guildmark in bright crimson on his bicep.

So when he's approached by three strangers who's been with him and everyone else throughout his entire stay in the shinobi world after seeing Sarada again, he doesn't know how to feel.

He takes in their appearances, all tall men, two with dark purple hair and eyes, and another with brown hair and very green- he dare says it's real emerald- eyes. Jellal recognizes them to be Yuri, Hanako, and Shu. Two Uchihas and a Hyuga. Why are they sitting with him now? Why are they even looking at him? Why are they making small talk with him, to which he's actually answering? More importantly, what did he do to gain the attention of two Uchihas and a freaking Hyuga!?!?! No doubt it's because of Sarada for the Uchihas, but what does the Hyuga want with him???

"You like stars, right?" Yuri starts because, of course, he would when it's obvious how close he is with Sasuke. They're definitely family.

Jellal only nods. He doesn't want to be here now.

"I like stars too! They're really pretty. Stargazing is so fun and wholesome. You can do it with anyone! Family, friends, lovers, it's perfect." Hanako starts next.

Jellal nods again. What's his point?

Yuri asks, "Your magic works with astronomy and stuff, doesn't it?"
