Dylan closed the door to his dorm room, relieved to have a moment to himself after that intense meeting with Headmistress Beaumont. As he turned, ready to unpack his things and try to make the room feel a little more like his own, he noticed something strange. His duffle bag was gone.

He blinked, scanning the room quickly. The bed was neatly made, the desk was untouched, but the spot where he'd left his bag was empty. Confusion turned into annoyance as he checked under the bed and behind the desk. Still nothing.

"This can't be happening..." Dylan muttered to himself.

Frustrated, he swung open the closet doors to see if maybe someone had moved his stuff there. But instead of his usual clothes, he found something entirely different: hanging on the rods were several neatly pressed girls' uniforms. A black blazer with the school crest, a pleated skirt, a white blouse, and even a pair of flats sitting neatly at the bottom of the closet. To the side, a few casual outfits—dresses, blouses, and skirts—hung like they belonged there.

Dylan stared at the clothes, his mind struggling to process what he was seeing. This had to be some kind of joke.

He bolted out of the room and headed straight for Aaron's dorm, knocking frantically on the door. After a few moments, Aaron opened up, looking equally puzzled.

"Dude, my bag's gone," Dylan blurted out before Aaron could say anything.

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Wait, what? Your stuff's missing too?"

"Yeah," Dylan said. "And—" He hesitated, not sure how to explain the rest. "I checked the closet, and there are, like... girls' uniforms in there. And not just the uniforms, but, like, casual girls' clothes too."

Aaron's eyes widened. "No way. That's gotta be some kind of prank."

Dylan sighed. "I thought so, but it doesn't seem like a prank. My whole bag's gone."

Aaron stepped back, motioning for Dylan to come in. "Let me check mine. Maybe it's just your room."

They both moved toward Aaron's closet. Aaron pulled open the doors, and his face dropped. Sure enough, the same neatly hung uniforms and casual girls' clothes greeted them.

"Seriously?" Aaron groaned. "What the hell is going on?"

Dylan shook his head. "I don't know, man. We've gotta find the others and figure this out."

They quickly made their way down the hall, knocking on Marcus and Kyle's doors. Both boys had the same issue—missing clothes, replaced by the unmistakable uniforms of Crestwood Academy. The mood shifted from annoyance to disbelief.

"This is crazy," Marcus said, pacing the common room. "They can't just take our stuff like that. What are we supposed to wear?"

Kyle nodded, his hands on his hips. "No way I'm putting on that uniform. I don't care what they say."

Dylan's mind raced as he tried to make sense of everything. "We need to talk to the girls. They'll know what's going on."

The boys headed down the hall to where their mentors stayed, their frustration mounting with every step. Dylan knocked sharply on Sophie's door, and after a moment, Sophie answered, Olivia and Hannah standing behind her, already looking like they were expecting the visit.

"Let me guess," Sophie said with a calm, knowing expression, "you're missing something?"

"You think?" Dylan snapped, trying to keep his voice level. "Where are our clothes? What's with the uniforms in our closets?"

Sophie leaned against the doorframe, exchanging glances with Olivia and Hannah. "Headmistress Beaumont made it pretty clear, didn't she? You're expected to follow the dress code. That includes wearing the uniform."

Marcus cut in, incredulous. "You can't be serious. You expect us to wear girls' uniforms?"

Olivia raised an eyebrow. "It's not about whether you're a boy or a girl. It's about following the rules. Crestwood has a uniform, and all students wear it. No exceptions."

Kyle shook his head, his voice rising. "This is ridiculous! There's no way we're doing that."

Hannah crossed her arms. "You don't really have much of a choice. The headmistress expects compliance, and if you don't abide by the rules, there will be consequences."

Dylan felt a cold pit forming in his stomach. "What kind of consequences?"

Sophie's eyes softened slightly, but her tone remained firm. "Let's just say it's better not to find out. Beaumont doesn't take kindly to disobedience."

Aaron scoffed. "This has to be a joke. You can't seriously expect us to wear skirts and blouses."

Sophie sighed. "Look, we get it. It's not what you're used to, but you agreed to come here, and you agreed to follow the rules. This is part of that."

Marcus threw his hands up. "So, what? We're supposed to just walk around in girls' clothes all day like it's normal?"

"Pretty much," Olivia said, nonchalant. "Besides, once you're in uniform, it's really not that big of a deal. Trust me, everyone's too busy with their own stuff to care."

Aaron rubbed his temples in frustration. "This is insane."

Hannah stepped forward. "The longer you argue about it, the worse it'll be for you. You might as well change now and get it over with before someone reports you for not being in uniform."

Dylan stared at the girls, feeling the weight of the situation sinking in. He glanced at the others, seeing the same uncertainty and reluctance on their faces.

"We can't just let this happen," Marcus muttered, though even he didn't sound convinced.

Dylan sighed, his mind racing with the absurdity of it all. "What do we do?"

Sophie gave him a gentle but pointed look. "You follow the rules. Put on the uniform. It's that simple."

For a long moment, no one said anything. The boys exchanged uneasy glances, the reality of their situation finally setting in. This wasn't just a misunderstanding—they were in Crestwood Academy now, and Crestwood had its own way of doing things.

Reluctantly, Dylan nodded. "Fine. We'll change."

The girls stepped aside, letting the boys head back to their rooms. As Dylan walked down the hall, the tension between them was palpable. This wasn't what any of them had expected when they agreed to this semester at Crestwood.

But if there was one thing that was clear now, it was that Crestwood had its own set of rules—and the boys were just getting started.
