THIRD PERSON
S4 E4: Ninja Roll
AS THE LOSERS OF THE previous challenge shuffled down the dimly lit corridor, their chains clinking ominously against the cold concrete, the air was heavy with exhaustion.
Cole, covered from head to toe in flour after an unfortunate tumble during the dumpling-making task, paused mid-step when a familiar voice echoed from behind.
"I don't know, P.I.X.A.L. But I sense these chains are unbreakable."
Cole squinted toward the sound, his heart racing. He recognized that voice.
"Zane, is that you?" He called out, pushing through the throng of defeated competitors.
"What are you doing? Don't make trouble," Karlof warned, eyeing Cole warily.
"One second. Karlof, tie shoe," He muttered distractedly, fumbling with his own laces.
Cole rushed forward, urgency in his voice. "You're alive! And you're silver?"
"Titanium," Zane corrected, a hint of amusement in his tone. "Cole, you look... white."
"Boy, it's great to see you!" Cole beamed, relief flooding through him. "Look at that, you look brand new!"
Zugu, confused, chimed in from the back, "Tie shoe? What shoe?"
Cole waved a hand dismissively. "Hold tight, lug nut. I'm getting you out of here. I'm getting us both out of here. That's a promise."
Zane's expression turned serious. "Please do... and also save the young boy with (h/c) hair."
Cole's excitement bubbled over. "Wait, what?! You mean—?"
Zane looked thoughtful. "In my memory box, I remember him being towed away, but... oh, he's right behind you."
Cole whipped around, his eyes lighting up as he saw [Name] standing there, a warm smile plastered across his face.
"Hello..." [Name] paused as he thought. "...Cole?"
"[Name]!!" Cole cheered, excitement spilling from him as he quickly wrapped his arms around [Name], lifting him off the ground in a bear hug.
"Long time no see," [Name] said, returning the embrace. Despite the dire circumstances, his smile radiated warmth. "I was just about to get us out of here."
Cole's eyes sparkled with hope as he listened intently, completely taken in by [Name]'s confident words.
Zugu grunted in frustration, pushing Karlof aside. "Where is Cole?"
"Right here," Cole replied, stepping forward. He chuckled, his spirits lifting. "Keep it real, big guy. Looks like you've seen a ghost. From here on out, Karlof, I'm making more than noodles. I'm making trouble. Chen can try his best to split up our team, but he's about to find out what happens when we put ourselves back together."
As they started to move, Cole glanced back at [Name], who stood near Zane's door, a soft smile still on his face. [Name] waved, his expression bright and hopeful.
Cole waved back enthusiastically, but as he turned away, he felt a strange weight in the air. He caught one last glimpse of [Name]—the smile slowly fading as he turned his gaze back to Zane, not bothering to engage further.
'Fool.' [Name] thought
Cole's heart sank slightly, but he pushed the feeling aside. They had a mission now. They had to escape.
With renewed determination, he joined the others, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. But a small part of him couldn't shake the feeling that [Name] was hiding something—something that could change everything.
