Shivaay shamelessly responded after hearing her, "No, I don't understand simple things. The thing is, my girl is your spicy chili, so I also have to become a bit like you, otherwise, how will I adjust with her?"

Hearing this, Swati got even angrier.

Shergill Mansion

Riya was all dressed up and heading downstairs to the hall. As she passed the guest room, her eyes fell on Omkar sitting on the bed, his back facing the door. Riya was ready for Raksha Bandhan. She wore a very lovely pink suit. After looking around and finding no one else, she smiled and walked into the room. She closed the door and quietly approached Omkar.

Wrapping her hands around his neck from behind and rubbing her cheeks against his, she teasingly said, "Are you hiding here so you don’t have to give your little sister a gift?"

Just then, she felt something wet on her cheeks. Surprised, she looked and saw that Omkar’s tears were falling onto her cheeks.

Riya quickly came in front of him and, sitting on the floor beside him, turned his face toward her and asked, "Omkar, what’s this? Why are you crying?"

“This is my first Raksha Bandhan, Riya, that I’ll be celebrating with my sister,” Omkar said with a heavy voice.

Wiping his tears, Riya said, “But that’s a happy thing, right? Why are you crying?”

Omkar then said, “You know, Riya, every year on this day, I used to feel defeated. I always wanted to go there, to have her tie me a rakhi, but I never had the courage. You know, Vikram has proven to be a good brother to Anu. Since I’ve seen him, their bond is special. Sometimes I wonder why I’m not like Vikram. Why don’t I have the kind of relationship they do?”

“Because you have guilt, Om, and that guilt is stopping you from forming that bond,” Riya explained.

Omkar looked at her with tear-filled eyes.

Riya continued, “Yes, the guilt around everything has ended, but the guilt inside you hasn’t. Omkar, you’ve never spoken openly with your sister-in-law. You’ve never shared the pain that’s inside you with her. You’ve never tried to understand the pain she’s carrying. The conversation you both had that night at the party wasn’t really a talk. It was just a moment where you realized that, yes, your relationship still exists, but you need to deepen that bond. You need to let go of this guilt. Whenever you see your sister, this guilt will come in front of your eyes and will stop you from taking steps forward."

“Can my guilt really be resolved, Riya?” Omkar asked.

Hugging him, Riya replied, “Of course, guilt is meant to be resolved. Yours will be too. You’ve always treated your sister like a sister; you’ve never wished her ill. Mistakes happen, everyone makes mistakes. Now, get ready quickly, or soon she’ll be calling all her brothers.”

Riya had just finished saying that when Anokhi’s voice came from outside, yelling to everyone, “I’m a girl, and I’ve gotten ready so quickly. Where are all of you stuck? Come fast, or the time for tying the rakhi will end!”

Hearing her voice, both Riya and Omkar laughed. Riya got up and, pulling Omkar up, said, “Come on, let’s go quickly now.”

Omkar, deep in thought, said, “Riya, you go ahead. I’ll come. I have something to take care of.”
