"I'll get it." Ellie says, getting up from the couch.
Nora watches as she answers the door.
There's a lot of mumbling, but Nora can't make out what's being said.
Ellie closes the door and turns to Nora.
Nora stands up, staring at her.
"I'll... Give you guys some space." She says, walking up the stairs.
She knows what that means.
Nora's eyes land on the door. She walks over to it.
She hesitates before opening it. She steps onto the porch.
Someone grabs her arm.
Nora whips her head around and sees Nick.
His grip on her arm is firm.
He looks almost angry. But at the same time, his expression shows worry.
"Nick-"
He pushes her against the wall of the house.
He leans in close to her. Their faces are inches apart.
"You need to answer my calls." His voice is low.
Nora tries to pull her arm away, but Nick just tightens his grip.
"Let me go." She orders.
He doesn't respond.
She tries to get away from him. He pushes her back to the wall.
"Dammit, Nora, just let me explain." Nora stares at him.
He sighs before speaking. "The application was before I saw you again. It was before I found out about you're dad. And when I was eccepted.. 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵, Nora I was going to tell you."
He tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. "I hated the fact that you weren't with me. I couldn't stand the thought of you being under someone else's care."
Nora doesn't say anything. It stays silent for a moment. Nick leans in and presses his lip to hers.
The kiss is slow and loving. He pulls away and presses his forehead to hers. "Don't do this to me.." He mumbles.
She closes her eyes and thinks for a moment. She couldn't stand being far from him either.
But when he leaves, he's going to be 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 far.
"Let's go home."
